Sprayway at Walmart is a good glass cleaner. Safe on window tint also. I like Turtle Wax Dash and Glass myself. I don't have the aggravation of getting it on my dash when I cleaning my windows. Good stuff!

It comes in a foam also.. been wanting to try it out.

You should spray the product onto a microfiber towel THEN wipe your windows lol

I have 15 years experience of cleaning towboat windows on the river so I am pretty good at cleaning glass with the methods I use. Had to use newspapers on the boat but since I retired from the river I use microfiber towels.

Even with microfiber towels, I still get a slight film that I can't seem to remove no matter how many time I clean the window. Would newspaper take care of it? It is, after all, a tried and true method.

Are you using too much product?

    Inside or outside the window?

Inside windshield. I use Sprayaway. Spray it on, "scrub" it with one side of the microfiber, then fold it and do a final wipe.

Make sure you aren't using excessive product. Microfiber hangs onto what ever you put on it, so usually the first time you spray product on there it takes a few spritzes but then usually you can use that towel for several windows (provided the truck isn't horrifically dirty). Also spray product directly on the towel not the window, it tends to work better and as stated above you don't get window cleaners on your dash. Especially alcohol containing products that can dry out the vinyl dash.

Another option is to cover your mouth when you sneeze, tends to keep the windshield cleaner lol jk

You can try it. You might be using to much soap to wash your microfiber towels. I put a 1/4 cup of Tide Free and Gentle in my wash load and I don't put anything in with them, just the M.F. towels.

The plastics in your truck may still be gassing to cause that film. I guess I do notice the film when I realise my windows need to be cleaned. lol.

I use a glaze first (white light on my quicksand tundra/ black light on my Tacoma) then jet seal, then butter wet wax.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

    Allergy season blows

I always wash my MF towels by themselves, but I could be using too much soap. Would washing them a second time in vinegar help as well? I've done that with regular towels, and they come out softer and deodorized.

Speaking of which, I just used ULW and Collinite #845 this past weekend, and HOLY CRAP!!! That combination looks AMAZING!!!! I've never really understood when I heard that "wax will give your paint depth" until now.

After you wash your truck, Use Duragloss Aquawax when you are drying the truck. You will be amazed. I use it once a week after my weekly truck wash. Prolongs the wax also.

I like DG Aquawax so much after the 1st time I used it that when I got home I ordered a gallon of it.

This stuff is liquid gold. When I'm caught in a sprinkle/little rain or parked near a pollen bomb zone for a bit, all it takes is 15 minutes and a couple microfibers with this stuff and you look like you just washed it. Works great on my painted wheel lips as well. CANNOT emphasize how great this stuff is.

Use a microfiber detergent for washing. Regular laundry detergents can trash microfiber, especially if they contain fabric softener. One of my roommates ruined a set of my towels that way. :goingcrazy:

I picked up a bottle of the Eagle One Wax As You Dry from Walmart on the fly. The stuff works fairly good, but I'll have to try the DG when this bottle runs out.

I've read that you're not supposed to use fabric softener on MF, but that's why I was thinking about a second wash with vinegar to strip any residue or soaps left from the first wash.

Yeah Eagle One Was As U-Dry used to be high on my list till I tried Duragloss Aquawax. After 6 hours or so after dying with Aquawax the shine really sets in. It really amazed me after I used it the 1st time. You will like it also! Use that Eagle One to wipe your shower walls down with and order you a bottle of Aquawax.. That is what I did.

You can use Tide Free and Gentle and it won't hurt your M.F. towels at all. Those outfits that sell that M.F. soap want you to believe there soap is the only thing to wash towels in. I won't buy into it.

I also tumble dry on the "delicate" cycle and my M.F. towels are fine.
