Okay - A couple of things. I have lovebugs ALL OVER my grill/windows etc. Tried a clay bar on the sideview mirrors, part of the grill, and the windsheild, it worked a little bit, but not totally removed. I unfortuately left the lovebug stuff on there for a few days, and its eaten through the paint a little bit - any advice/suggestions? Would the bug-n-tar remover help?

The difference in smoothness of the paint with the clay bar...:D

Also, I dont have an orbital, just a drill and a polish ball. Any advice on hand waxing? How long does that take?

Subbed to this, and even bookmarked on my browser. Great information. Thanks!

Try a cloth saturated with hot water on the bug for 5 minutes and see if that helps.

I have also had sucess with Poor Boys bug remover.

Be real careful with the magic eraser. It is very abrasive and our Tacoma's have soft paint.

Sorry I should add do not rub the magic eraser witha lot of pressure over the paint.

Do you use any trim restorer on your rubber parts?

You might try this sample from Poor Boys or Black Wow exterior trim restorer.

I use Amazing Roll Off, ARO, along with a short and long handle brush, microfiber gloves and latex gloves.

Spray on the ARO and use the brushes to get the hard caked on dirt and greese. Then I put on the microfiber gloves over latex gloves and saturate them with ARO and use my hands to scrub everything. you can usually reach everywhere with your fingers to clean the surfaces you cannot see as well as the surfaces you can see. To rinse I leave the gloves on and a slow water flow from the hose and just wipe everything down.

It is really pretty easy and when finished it looks great. I use 303 Aerospace Protectant to dress all the rubber parts under the hood.

You can usually find ARO at boating supply shops or at Autogeek.

I used the magic eraser on my grille- helped but i found something that works better. [IMG]

This stuff works wonders. Spray a dab, let it sit for a couple of seconds, and wipe it right off. Highly suggest it.
