    I think I got it attached to here. The scratches are just to the left of the very center. I can see them best when I am driving lol. Figures.

    Dang, that really sucks! Try the PlastX in an inconspicuous area to make sure it's not going to ruin anything, and if it doesn't, use it on those scratches. It *may* help! Let me know how it works...I'm really curious.

    Does Wal-mart sell it? I'm going there in like 10 min.

    I would think so. If they don't, places like Auto Zone should.

    Well, Wally-World didn't have it, so I'll stop at Autozone tomorrow and see what they got. Thanks again for the info! I'll keep you posted on what I find out.

    its used mainly for those plstic bumpers that turn grey after a while...this stuff is real good...i got it from auto detailing store here in san diego, they distribute products from PRO products. sorry i cant tell u a way to buy it but look for a similar product at ur local detailing store...i stopped buying from autozone and walmart those products are real cheap check out this website they have stores all over

    How do you get the smell of gear oil out of the inside of my truck? My jack was used to remove a rear end and gear oil got on it. I cleaned it up the best I could but my cab still smells like gear oil.

    Thanks for taking the time to give us this info! I wash the Mazda, Expedition, and even the Volvo and I have some old towels that have started to get raggedy and leave swirl marks in the paint so you sir, are a savior!

    Thanks again! (++rep)

    QQ, I get marks on the dashboards from touching them and running hands or nails across them (accident) I usually get a nice damp cloth to wipe it off but it doesn't get it all the way.
    This is gross but I get skin cells left in the little perforations on my steering wheel (leather wheel - Mazda3) how would I get that out? Water is a bitch to use.

    waters just gonna dry why dont u get some dressing but not the real greasy one like armorall and after u apply, run over it with a clean microfiber so that theres no spots, when applying make sure u spray the rag not the whole dash

    as far as the steering wheel idk haha

    Alright thanks, the dash doesn't happen too often. I was more interested in the steering wheel.

    Unfortunately, the oil has probably soaked through the carpet and into the foam padding underneath it. I would suggest finding a local detailer that has a good HOT water extractor and see if that will remove the odor. And just so you know, as long as there is still oil in the carpet/foam padding, the smell will still be there. You have to remove the source of the smell before the smell will go away. If it's bad enough, you may have to replace the foam under the carpet. :(

    No problem. For your steering wheel, any decent APC should do the trick. Or, you can mix up 1 part Woolite (yes, the laundry detergent) and 6 parts water in a spray bottle and use that. Woolite is a gentle cleaner so it won't harm anything. You may even need to use a small soft bristle brush. Follow it up with a good leather conditioner and it should look like new!

    FYI...dressing would just act as a cover up in that situation. It needs to be thoroughly cleaned prior to any dressing being applied.

    My Vanilla Moose Glaze should be in tomorrow. I plan to top it with Optimum Opti-Seal. If I like the glaze I'll probably order their wax next. In order to the carnuba look with sealant longevity, would I want to glaze>wax>sealant or glaze>sealant>wax? I've seen ppl on autopia discuss putting the wax on after the sealant, but I don't understand all the lingo yet so I may be confusing the order. Thanks
