no idea man, i was planning on doing it soon but now it may be on hold for a while or i may be doing some of the work in my driveway.
the metal plate you put on for me that got left undone (due to time) is too far back and i got a curtsey warning from a dude at my dealership that if i dont fix it to look more "factory" they are likely to void my whole 35k mile warranty
and we got so much bad weather after the job got started im having really bad rust so i need to cut your plate off, clean/prep everything back up and then bring it to you to finish off
im thinking i'll just take a piece of angle iron and cut it with a drill press to make a half circle to bring it back to "stock" on the cab mount opening. and then get that plated up

sorry if none of that makes sense, my word use tonight seems to be sub par

Are you saying that they are going to void your warranty because you have a CMC done?? Or because of rust?? Or what? I am genuinely curious. Definitely don't try and rig it up in your driveway, we need to get together and get both sides looking "stock" with paint. CMC shouldn't void any kind of warranty unless the cab mount fell off lol.

In short, they can't legally do that. Look up the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975. The basic text of it is that they can only void something DIRECTLY related to the modification in question. As an example, they wouldn't replace your frame under warranty were it to rust, but they can't deny you a complaint about something such as the rear differential because they aren't directly related.

Probably why he got a "courtesy warning", somebody trying to be a hard ass. I still need to get him back in the yard, he has a passenger -side only CMC. And that apparently never got painted.

Basically the CMC is no big deal but because of the circle opening that is there to allow access to the cab mount hardware having a cut out of it the curtesy warning was to basically cut it all back off, fab the circle back to whole and then finish the fab job and paint it and nobody would know or care

But because the circle is currently cut into it looks super obvious

Well that's a tad dumb lol!

If it's a full circle, you may rub, right?

The funny part was even with a cab mount chop on the passenger side
I still rub somewhere on that side
I've had the wheels off maybe 3-4 times to try and find a rub spot and have found nothing haha

Ok lol, in case they have to replace your frame or something?? Get your shit back to the yard and we'll fix it up. Think I threw your mount away, may be here some where. If not we can get creative. PLEASE don't cut/drill angle iron onto that truck lol
