That's your choice. I've had 5100s for awhile. I personally don't think the little extra clearance is outweighing body damage at the moment but everyone's different.. How many times did you need a skid at RRG? I'm assuming you're just meaning a front skid plate.

 

Yes, I mean IFS skid.

Having the 5100s would've kept me moving better on the trails. Have to slow way down when going through stuff to avoid the nasty knock of down travel on the OME shocks. Some times, i could the springs rebounding and that sounds terrible! Kinda like flicking the spring doorstops

 

Well you getting sliders wouldn't save you much on shipping right now anyway, cause then you'd have to travel to Central, KY to pick them up which would probably cost $20 in gas for you anyway.

I was just looking at their sliders this morning after slamming the SHIT out of my passenger side frame rail yesterday. 6" to the left and I would of had some serious body damage. I'm out at the moment though, wife wants to build a picket fence

I got a "I don't know, we'll see" when I told her I wanted to head out to Moab next summer with you guys. If I'm gonna make that happen I need to do some honey do's and then slay some OT to get a skid, sliders, full size spare. Camper topper was already on the agenda for the year as well as some small "creature comfort" stuff. Should be good to go other than that.

 

I'll need a full calendar year to get ready for Moab too. That's if I decide to go.

Probably will do whatever it takes to go, been a dream to go out west. But not as far west as Cali

 

Out West is beautiful. Kentucky is beautiful, but Red Rock and desert is gorgeous as well.

 

Seen plenty of pics from family members. My mom and sister went a few years back, I wasn't able to take off work to go.
Granddad used to take my sister every summer when we were younger. I never got to go, by the time I was old enough, my grandmother died and granddad never went back again.

 

I'll be in Lexington on Monday. Be in town around 1 or 2, nephew's birthday. Anyone have anything cool they want to part with?
