    Been there a few times growing up. Didn't know the land had been sold. So can you not fourwheel on the other side of the "bridge leading to nowhere" any more? I was kind of looking for some good places close to Central KY for just a nice day trip, as Harlan is a decent little haul from here.

    @MedlinAround I keep reading conflicting stories. Their Facebook page shows a planned riding event from Dec. 2 but I've read in a couple other places it will be eventually closed off.

    Best bet would be to call one of the numbers associated with the park to find out. That place is awesome to explore and camp, it'd be a shame if it closed.

    Anyone ever do the "Little Shepherd Trail" in Harlan County? It's listed as county roads, something like 37 miles long, and some of it is paved roads, but the recommend 4wd on the "non paved" portions. I know a lot of the "overlanders" use it, but have not as of yet talked to anyone who's actually been on it.

    Looks like a city park walkway from what YouTube videos show. Car sized sidewalks.

    I'd bet there are a couple hills that are gravel and for insurance purposes they reccomend 4wd.
