I had a lot of vibration today driving on the interstate. Jacked it up and checked wheel bearings and they seemed fine. Im guessing it's the infamous needle bearing in the front diff. Anyone have any experience with that?

smashed this, broke that, covered it up with tape and paint
If it is replace it with the bearing from ECGS

To test if it's the needle bearing:
    Put in 4wheel hi
Drive and if the vibration goes away needle bearing.

If this didn't work, where did you feel the vibrations? Feet, seat, steering wheel, combination?

I tried 4wd and still got a vibration. I'm guessing wheel might be out of balance. I feel it in the pedal and steering wheel.

I'm @131,000÷ miles and haven't had any problem with the diff bushing yet. That said, I've helped 2 people change theirs. From what they told me, the noise and vibration came on very gradually, almost unnoticable at first.

I'd be more incline to believe a tire lost a balance weight.....or something of that nature. Did they use stick on weights when you put the Coopers on? I had issues with them flying off when I had the Duratracs.

check for mud? can you see any weights missing?
if its in the pedal/wheel then it should be in the front end. if its there in 4wd then that eliminates the needle bearing (that one feels like small rumble strips in the dead pedal anyway, not in the steering wheel). sounds like a balance issue to me

bill, i replaced my needle bearing with the tsb one cuz it was free (dealer did it)... its still working so far..

I made a tool for pulling the old bearing if anyone wants to borrow it

Chicago was gorgeous this weekend. Seen a nice white double cab downtown with some work done to it Sunday evening. Was unable to snag a picture quick enough

I didn't know this but you can actually get inside it supposedly. There's supposedly office space inside of it. How funny would it be to be working and just see everyone coming around pointing and taking pictures, but can't see you inside. lol

Couldn't imagine that space being affordable. At all.

With the interior wood construction, I just hope it doesn't get struck by lightning and is properly grounded, unlike the touchdown Jesus statue at Solid rock church north of Cincinnati.

Seriously, I didn't know the bean was wood inside. Must've missed that while I was in Chicago. Saw a lot while I worked there, so there was a lot to remember
