We rode this exact section of the DBBB, and then some! It was definitely in a different condition just a few months later.

Wouldn't mind a revisit to the DBBB. Try and maybe get all 97 miles in one weekend this spring/summer?

Edit: 98.7 miles on another website

Next time I do believe I my do so! A little at a time as I gain experience in the taco. I’m used to big heavy lifted chevys in the past but I love this truck and it’s capabilities!

You link is great man! I may have to try some skinny’s! I do have a BP-51 full suspension kit recently installed which gave me just over 2 inch of lift as well! What do you think if I installed some SCS ray10’s 16’s? They are Hub centric. Would that throw anything off?

I dunno what you could expect with the ray 10s. Please report back though because bronze ray 10s are on my shortlist of potential wheels.

All truck wheels to my knowledge are hub centric...... lol

The offset on them will likely make you rub
    My SCS wheels did

thats not true. it depends on the wheel hub and vehicle hub. hub centric/lug centric is more of a per vehicle than wheel itself anyways

    Interesting
Well tacomas all have pertruding hubs so I again, would assume all wheels that fit a Tacoma would be hubcentric.

also not the case. you could fit a wheel that has a larger hub bore but the same lug pattern. therefore it wouldnt be hubcentric without a hub adapter/spacer

    Neat! Ive been educated

I've always heard using none hub centric anythings were a bad idea (especially wheel spacers)

So I had just formed the thought process that anything non hub centric was poorly made crap or unsafe

Yeah that’s what I’m looking at getting too, or the matte black. They won’t have any until late January though.

    Exactly!
I'd like to get in as much distance as possible. Not like we're completely in the boonies, looks like the route does follow some pavement too

This video makes it look easy! When it ends, is a pretty solid incline but wasn't terrible. Later on the trail we encountered something that wasn't worth dragging a dozen trucks over assuming we got one with a winch (@mwc273) up and over first. But it was mostly pretty easy but not too boring of a ride.

nope, all wheels are the same pretty much. lug/hubcentric depends on the vehicle for what you need. hubcentric being that you should try to get a wheel with the same hub bore or get the proper adapter to make it the same is all.

there are also hubcentric wheel spacers if you can find them. i have 2inch ones on my integra also.

picture of said hubcentric rings which are fine to use. i use them on my integra since rpf1s dont come in the hub size i need.

    Even though that's an option

I'm gonna avoid anything that adds more parts to the equation that can fail

If it ain't hub centric from the manufacturer it isn't going to be on my truck
