Yeah, I love them. They had some big stupid pieces of aluminum in them but I already took them to the curb. Look how nice they stack!

Lots of people getting the flu this year. Spreading quickly. My wife and I are just getting rid of it. Supposedly the flu vaccine is less than 10% effective...

I'm just not a believer in the flu shot. Our son got it last year, got the flu 3 weeks later, I didn't get a flu shot and stayed home to take care of him for 3 days and admittedly did a poor job of protecting myself and never got it. He got a flu shot this year, immediately got the flu again. I will say though Tamiflu is an amazing drug. Both times he was given it he was perfectly fine the next day.

During all my health problems over the last 3 years, 2 different times doctors had me over-medicated, both times with meds that conflicted in some way with others I was taking.

I don't believe in ANY meds right now that I don't HAVE to have.

BTW, just now getting over the Flu. About noon Christmas I would have volunteered for a .45 to the temple.

I make a point to not take anything unless I'm absolutely miserable and can't function. Other than that I drink water and tough it out. I wish I could live in a cabin, raise my own food and live the simple life but it isn't in the cards right now. Plus the wife hates the thoughts of that

I've never had it. My wife is required to take it since she's a nurse. I haven't seen it make a difference other than she feels sorta crappy for a couple days after the shot

Glad I went with the gunmetal over the black. Love the look, need to trim a little at the front of the flares. 20171228_164002.jpg 20171228_163956.jpg

My first few months on this site centered around this thread, so it's become my "home thread" for the most part. So...I'll post this here:

This past year has been amongst the best and amongst the worst ever for me. I endured the loss of a great friend. Also the loss of a favorite uncle. By now most of you probably know far more about Asshat than you signed up for....and all the joy that came with that. 2017 was too much drama and too much stress.

2018 already looks to be a better year personally. The job is still evolving. But in the right direction. Me and Sandy will be headed west in early April. We'll be meeting up with old Army buddies and going to Moab. And if a full exam scheduled for Jan 8th comes back clear, I finally come off most of my meds that I've been on since the surgery.

Long story short, life is looking pretty good at the moment.

    So..

From Sandy and me....Thanks to EVERYONE for providing a sympathetic ear when it was needed. 60 years on earth has taught me that this time next year we'll all be looking back at a list of things no one expected. Let's just hope we're all here to see it together.

    Happy New Year

    Be Careful

Tell me more about these fake beadlocks you have for sale...

A set of those in bronze are on my to-do list, but I could suffer through black for a good deal...
