Think a little google-fu answered my questions.

Have to spend a week there next month for work. From the looks of it there isn’t much going on in terms of being able to have a good time in the evenings. Probably going to stay in BG and drive over daily.

Vaguely familiar. Back when dad was still alive and operating his construction business, they built a motel just east of Cave City. He set up a temporary office in town. I was 45 years younger then, so things have changed a bit. Just about an hour south of were I live now. So what's up?

There is "things to do" there like most poor country towns in the middle of Kentucky, but it mostly involves spending the night in skanky dives and sleeping in the gutter...or caves.

I posed my video and explained what I was experiencing and I think I started a fire lol

At one point, I was semi-interested in a 3rd Gen. Started reading in that forum. I had a few questions, so I asked them in a relatively nice, sweet tone. Next thing I know, I'm being savagely attacked, warned by mods, and told to GTFO.

Lost any interest at that stage.

My purchase of the third gen was all a situation of circumstances.

I had a 2wd 2014 and had gotten it with co-sign and that person was trying to get a house
So in order to both upgrade into a 4wd and help that persons credit I went hunting for a new truck and at that time my credit history wasn't long enough to allow me to get a used vehicle
    So it was new
    Or nothing
And by that point in march of 2016 there were no new 2nd gens on anyone's lot

I never wanted a turd gen
Historically the first year of any new generation is crap
    But once I got it
    I liked it
And then the more I drove it the more the engineer gremlins started arising.
Been a turd show ever since

Liking my 2011 more every day. That was the peak of the Tacoma. Other than normal wear items, and a laundry list of aftermarket shit, no issues and no complaints. ('cept for daytime driving light lenses burning....forgot about that.)

With my health issues being what they are, estimated life of a Tacoma, and my tendency to squeeze every ounce of life out of a vehicle, this potentially could be my last truck.

Yeah when I bought my 2014 taco my dad said some wise advice to me.

Get something you like and that will get you around that is in your price range and upgrade later, not knowing the next gen of Tacoma was gonna be a disaster.

What's even more amusing is I looked at the 2015 over and over and over once the "pro" came out and never jumped on it because being stationed in Cali meant obnoxiously high prices
