I had a set of those tires on a 2000 Tundra. They wear really well, run quiet, and give excellent traction. I can get 4 of 'em mounted and balanced with a road hazzard warranty for less than $800. All that's holding me back right now is the kid down the street getting his tax check.....Offered me $650 for the Duratracs.....

    I've got 3 sawzalls, and a cutting torch.....They won't rub!

To hear her tell it, she's building this one! As long as she's OK with me doing what I want, she can continue to tell it that way too!

We have 7 houses on our road from one end to the other. There's 15 different 4wd's.....3 sideXsides, 3 ATV's and 2 dirt bikes! I'm just trying to keep up with the Jones!

Ah well.....Just tracked my parts, and they won't be here until Monday. We're having unseasonably warm weather now, so I was hoping to get them Friday and work in the driveway on Saturday. Temps are supposed to drop to single digit lows next week. Guess I'm stocking up the wood rack in the shop so I can fire up the wood stove. I'll try to take off next tuesday or else thursday and get my new suspension pieces bolted on! TRD Parts4U stuff will be here tomorrow! (Shifter handle and a couple TRD emblems)

It's described as a "1-1/2" to 2" AAL" I'll let you know which once it's installed. In any event, it's just temporary. Gonna do Dakars once I get a few more peso's to play with. I've had bad experiences with AAL's in the past.

Ah, cool...was just wondering. I got the 2" Deaver AAL from toytec, but eventually want to swap out for Dakar too.

That's the same AAL as Headstrong includes in this kit, they just refer to it as "1-1/2" to 2"". I think the end result has a lot to do with how heavy the truck is...Same with the 885 coils I'm using on the front. They're 3" on a regular cab/4 cyl and 2-1/2" on a double cab V6

I'm hoping to get the full 2". We'll soon find out!

An additional 20 MPG's, probably 100 HP, and 1/4-mile times in the low 9's.

And Sandy's comment was, "You paid HOW MUCH for that"?

But weren't the incredible gains in horsepower, fuel economy, as well as your self esteem not worth every shekel of your life savings that you had to shell out for it??

I'd get one, but I'm not sure if it will make my truck too much of a handful to handle on the mountain roads and curves here in Wayne County! Don't want to end up crashing into Lake Cumberland!

I better write myself a note and tape it to the steering wheel so when I start out to work in the morning I don't floor it and go into lunar orbit before I realize how much more power I have now.
