You have a 100% solid point
But I intentionally left everything drivetrain alone hoping it wouldn't be an issue as the rear set up on my truck is pretty normal for tacomas most elsewhere in the US.
Never in a million years thought Toyota would dick me over the way they would or I would have planned differently

I clearly agree I made a mistake in trusting Toyota and expecting my truck to hold up longer.

Based on the issues with the rear end none of it should have been more than a conversation of
Oh the trucks here for that?
Cool we will order the parts!
But it just didn't play out that way

I'm just hoping Pelfrey puts a sell on their Expo springs so I can get some new leafs in the rear. I don't think my AAL is going to like the RTT on most trails.... Plus I want more lift!

So.... About those leaf springs... Gotta number in mind? You can have my pack and u-bolts oem shocks ect ect it you need them to keep your truck off blocks in the meantime. We can swap them right in your driveway. Let me know a price and if its around my budget we will get something going. @Caboose117

Pelfrybilt has leaf springs??? So far so I made the mistake of not buying the AllPro springs when they were 30% off with free shipping... That was a killer deal. They do it every year though supposedly. OME is on my radar but with my Icon stuff I'd like to stay with something that is close to 2" lift.

The cost for the kit from total chaos with all the nuts bolts and shit is 1600$
Since you don't need the SUA hardware as it is welded to the truck I'd say that's 1/4 of the cost ?
    So maybe 800$

Just keep in mind it will raise your truck in the back at least 2-3 inches

What do you got in the back? I may be interested. Not trying to take away a sell, just wondering.

Ive been researching this and it won't work, you have (or should) have the Deavers with the deeper arch for the spring under kit. I need the J402. Do you have a way of checking to see what part number you have???

You should have the U644 or U539 (HD Springs). Only way I would be able to use them (or anyone else) would be to order the spring under kit from Total Chaos #84650 - $575. $1375 is more than I want to sink into the ass of my truck. Especially since to really utilize it I'd need to do a shock relocate and then there is a whole other can of worms.

You know, depending on what's wrong in that diff I may actually be able to fix it in the Yard with a welder.

Bed cage/2.5x16 bypasses/total chaos HD SUA kit
It's designed for a heavier load and has a more severe arch
So if you don't run it in a SUA configuration it will give more lift
So normal lift on my truck was not noticeable but on a normal SOA it is gonna give 2-3 inches of lift

    You are roughly correct
But you can infact run SOA with the HD springs
It will just raise your truck significantly higher if you aren't running a loaded rear like a RTT or dimilar

Nah, thought I might pay you a visit. I could pull the third and pack home if necessary. What ratio are your gears?

BTW, thinking of welding your spiders, poor man's spool :D
IF the problem is in the diff and not the ring/pinion. Or have a 4runner 3rd FS
