Got some repaint and bodywork estimates today...about $500 to repaint the roof since the clearcoat is starting to peel, and about $600 to repair a dent on the right side of the bed right over the wheel arch where I dropped a piece of firewood and dented the side. THEN, about $600+ for a set of Bushwhackers to replace my factory flares that are fading and beginning to chalk and look like crap...I think I'll go for the bed repair and Bushwackers first, then in a couple of months get the roof painted...

Red, especially red that's starting to have clear coat issues will be VERY hard to match. Hopefully the shop has some high end paint matching equipment. The body shop I used to have the hood on my old '08 painted had some crazy barcode scanner looking gun they ran over my truck that somehow came up with a paint combination for their paint mixing machine. I was very impressed, I'm sure they paid a shit ton for it. It was worth it.

My left front fender, door, bumper, and more were done after an accident a year or so ago, and everything matched perfectly. The Radiant Red, code 3L5 matched perfectly. I'm hopeful this shop can do as well. Of course, the section with the clearcoat issues IS on the roof, ONLY between the roof rack rails, so it's isn't immediately noticeable...

Being on the roof I don't think it will matter much either. Still want it to be right though! I watched them mix my black sand pearl paint when I bought it and it was crazy there were so many toners I thought there is no way in hell that will match. It's perfect.

Yeah, Metallics, and "pearls" and the like CAN be a bitch to match. I've seen the black that was on the 4-Runner Pro a couple of years back, with the silver and blue metalflake, and I can imaging that color would be a NIGHTMARE to match! Luckily, Radiant Red is just red.
This place is a body shop in Somerset, not too far from Berea, since I live south of Monticello... ALSO, Somernites Cruise in July is TRUCK SHOWCASE!

I guess it's because of the big rebuilt car buisness in the southern Kentucky area but there are some amazing body shops in this area. I always joke that it's about a 90% chance that any car on Craiglist listed as in London or Corbin has a rebuilt title.

Blue Holler is open! I spent the day riding (anddriving some!) In my nephews Can Am sbs. There must have been 1000 sbs's there.
It was wet and muddy (surprise....:D) so....phone/camera stayed in the truck. Not much to see anyway...justa traffic jam.

Trails have recently been graded. Some mud holes, a few water crossings. Needs a few trucks to wear it in....

May go back in near future. :hattip:

The girl I'm seeing was getting word from her friends that were there too. Sent me a pic of at least 20 truck/trailers in a line on pavement. She likes that kinda thing, I don't have the patience and I'd just end up drunk early

It'll calm down after a few weeks. Trail map was semi-useless. Needed Jibbs there to get us lost

I'm not hating that decision haha!

Kinda like me going to LBL and AOP. Pretty similar drive times.
One will make my truck a bitch to clean, the other may very well destroy my truck if I'm not careful.

Harlan is only about 3 hours for me. Not bad at all.
Much rather drive that than 6+ hours
