    They look legit. Dont think I've ever held a Pelican but I can't imagine they're much better built than this seems to initially be. They had two smaller sizes too.

    Hardigg was first, then Pelican. They need to renew the patent or they'll lose the contract. Same as any other manufacturer that gets picked up by the govt.

    Yes. There are two layers on the bottom though. The pick and pluck layer and then a layer similar in depth to layer on the lid, under the pick and pluck.

    Egg crate foam is top, pick and pluck in middle, flat layer on bottom.

    That's a lot of foam!
    Too deep for my camera though, it would still bounce around. Bought a case for it, but it's a bit small with all the mounts and accessories.

    Yes. And maybe that can work. It's almost the exact size of a Hero series, just made a little different, lens and buttons.
    Maybe too big for the camera, but be perfect for my 40 and it's spare mags and a box of ammo.

    I'd run over my pelican with my truck and don't think it would bend. Pelicans are pretty dang sturdy. For $30 though, i'm definitely picking one up for my future camera junk..

    Got a Plano case with foam for the AR, Shield, and ammo (wouldn't run over the plano with the truck).
