We used to ride an area on the opposite side of the interstate. It was some of the most incredible landscape I've ever been on. We could ride all the way down into the Rockcastle River back in the day. Most of the trails were wide enough to get a full sized truck through there. I'm thinking it MAY be shut down now.

    I think I know what you're talking about. Croomer's or Crooner's Ridge, maybe. I don't think it's open either.

Appreciate it man. I'm sure you have, I'm in lexington at least a few times a month.

Good chances of that my sister and my girlfriend both work in Richmond center so I'm up there pretty often.

I see quite a few nice tacomas around richmond but never know who is who lol

Loving the snow here in Richmond! Any big shooters here? I'm looking for a gold range, as well as have a Sig P320 for sale!

I saw your post before y'all went out. A little part of me was wishing I could go. But, my wife has a bad cold. She was my nurse while I was down after the surgery, so I figured it would have been kinda rude of me to even THINK about leaving.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have had a lot of fun with that.....

I'm gonna go out on a limb here, but I'd about bet dropping a concrete block on my foot would be more fun than that!

Did you do the cab mount chop for bigger tires? When the set your alignment with the stock UCA it may rub those new tires you're getting. I've got the cut off wheel, welder and steel if you feel like knocking it out before LBL.

Haven't done the CMC yet. That's probably next. I've got 1" wheel spacers, so 285's shouldn't rub UCA's. I've got a full inch between sidewalls and UCA's at full lock turn where they're the closest. May take you up on the offer....My welding skills aren't anything to brag about. They hold, but just don't look real sweet.

I may not be 100% done with the lift. I'm contemplating putting the 1" blocks back in with the AAL to get the back end higher than the front. Right now, I have the same exact measurement between tire and fender on the front and rear. Eventually doing Dakars, but just don't have the extra cash laying around at the moment. (Dish washer took a crap yesterday and we have to spend $900 on that in the next week or I have to start washing dishes.... :( ) And I might put 1/2" spacers on top of the struts to get a true 3" of lift. When I had the Toytech 3" lift in, I got perfect alignment numbers with the stock UCA's and adjustment cams more or less in the middle of the adjustment range. If it works out that way with this lift, and I still have the ability to go higher, I'm putting my home made 1/2" spacers back in. I can put them in without taking the struts completely off the truck. That takes about 20 minutes a side.

You know how this works.....NEVER quite done.....

Did a 90 mile round trip interstate run where speeds were 70 to 75 mph. It's all rough concrete interstate that gave my Tacoma a thrashing with the stock coils and shocks. With the 885X's and 5100's, the ride was quite possibly the best ride I've ever experienced with a 4wd truck.

Still waiting to see how it'll do off road, but it was worth every penny for the "daily driver" aspect.....

OBTW. Ran it across the alignment rack where I buy my tires this morning just to see how things were. No adjustment required. Pretty much dead nuts perfect the way it is. (New lift is VERY close to what I already had) Adjustment cams are roughly in the middle of their working range. Plenty of adjustment left if I decide to put 1/2" spacers on for a full 3" lift. Gonna have it checked again in a couple weeks.

OK....Bounced around for 90+ miles yesterday, and with that, settled in the suspension a good bit. Got to looking and the Taco lean had returned, even with a 1/4" spacer on the drivers side. Same malady with the old setup. I had a 1/2" home made poly spacer on the drivers side to get it "close" to level. So. I get home, route through my plunder in the garage, find a sheet of 5/8" thick poly, cut out a new spacer, do the high speed "It's Daytona 500 Weekend" pit stop/spacer install. Now she's dead nuts level from side to side.....with the front end just a tic higher than the BACK end. So now I come home from work TOMORROW and re-install the 1" blocks in the back until I can spring for new springs....(Dakars eventually)

Front end settled out (with poly spacer installed 2-3/4" higher than what it was back in the "stock" days. Back is 1-1/2" higher and needs to be 2-1/2" higher than stock hieght.

    It never ends.....
