That Diff code stuff should be on your door VIN plate, not the sticker on the diff, also I'm quite sure its no longer possible to get a factory 4.56.

    Yeah
ECGS said the 2016 year changed gears and axel spline half way through production year (which explains why they didn't have an answer)

Door sticker didn't say anything about gears or at least my crayon eating brain didn't see any

I guess its in the middle on third gens: your diff code is A04A, which should be the factory 4.30 ratio

Trans code is right next to it (AC60F)

That said, doing a rolling check (if possible) would be best.

And unless I misunderstand the condition of this diff, you might not "need" gears, you might just need to do a rebuild with a solid spacer and eliminate the auto-engaging clutch thingy...

It finally started to snow here around 9, guessing. I'm really not sweating it. Won't stick enough to matter

Wave3 is reporting totals near a foot for areas where those heavy bands set up. Downtown doesnt have nearly that much.

Just pulled in my driveway. I'm sitting in the truck finishing lunch. With the heavy wet snow hanging off everything, I can hear limbs snapping all over the neighborhood. The wind is picking up which will only compound the problem. As beautiful as it is, I cant help but remember how a good friend died in 2006 when he was hit by a falling limb right outside his back door during an ice storm.

By careful. Mother Nature can be ruthless.

I hope the weather improves over there. A little bit of the white stuff accumulated on the grass, rooftops, trees, and vehicles. Its not bad at all in Madison county; however, it hasn't stopped people from driving like there's a blizzard.

We got hit much harder last week. Fortunately when we had that heavy wet snow the sun and warmer temperatures immediately followed.

It's weird how a few miles can make a huge difference.

    Ha!

Started snowing, dropped a foot of wet, and the roads were dry all within about 24 hrs.

Thought this was a cool shot, although the quality sucks being blown up, but i grabbed a pic of a couple geese flying by while target practicing this weekend with the drone.
