Install or break the coil? Either or, Yeah both. My buddy and I put them on. You definitely need 4 arms to hold and work around if you don't have a vehicle lift, aka not in the driveway.

It takes some time but with the correct tools it wouldn't be bad. We usually have a mod day every now and then where we all get together and do a little wrenching/ more shenanigans. If I have a free weekend available I'd be more than happy to help out / drink beer and show ya. Best way to learn is to just dive head first into that kind of stuff. Remove bolts to get to what you're trying to get to then put em back on.

Anyone here electrically inclined? I've been trying to troubleshoot an issue with my tail lights. The driver's side tail light does not light up when the head lights are on, however the brake light does work off the same bulb. I've swapped bulbs between drivers side and passenger and with the same results. Passenger side works, drivers side running light does not. Trailer harness works, outlet in the bed works but shows a bad ground. I've poked around and the wires appear to be intact but to be honest, never developed a nack for electrical work. Apparently I have a bad habit of shocking myself. Any insights?

No shocking voltage on the Taco. I'd definitely check the frame grounds back there. I know there is one in the rear driver wheel well above your shock mount, probably another you'll have to find. Is the socket showing any corrosion or discoloration on the contacts?

Ground looks good, plug though is a different story most likely. Passenger side slides off with minimal effort and looks good, drivers side just won't budge. There is some build up on it that I've cleaned off but the plug refuses to come apart.

I know this sounds stupid... make sure the bulb is pushed in all the way. Some bulb manufacturers are super tight.

Ah. Think I found it. Pretty sure the wires are supposed to be attached....

In all seriousness, one of the wires is not connected to the plug. Wire is on the truck side of the plug, not the tail light side. Looks like a clean break, insulation and wire are both clean cut but were tucked into the plug.
