    Greetings fellers,

My first post to the site, coming from Owensboro KY. Heading down to the lakes this weekend to break in my 3rd gen for the first time. On my fourth Tacoma: 08, 02, 09 and 16, but I'm pretty much a newbie in the subject of Tacoma's and not a mechanic or pro like most on here though I have learned a lot from this forum. Anyway, if anyone is going to be down there getting muddy shoot me a line or throw me a wave! Open to any pointers on road #s to try out. All I have is my hi lift and a strap so any company welcome.

    Then and now pics..

Yup I'm at Knox as well, I think I've seen you around. I plan on making it to the meet that they have lined up around June in the Lexington area. Around here we just relax at Carlson, Saunder Springs, and anywhere else similar that we can find.

We do plan on fishing Carlson but have only camped there so far. I haven't fished in about 20 years!

Idk how long yall have been on post or how much you've explored the surrounding area but, there is a park off of 1638 (next big intersection past the turn for Carlson) called Otter Creek Park. Runs a small entry fee with yearly passes available but there are tons of camping, hiking, biking, and disc golf...practically grew up there but with a busy schedule, havent been in a year or two. Its pretty massive compaired to Saunders.

I did check out Otter Creek and went to their range area but haven't camped there yet.

They have a gun and archery range down there. It's on the Right turn prior to the camping area I believe.

Not sure since I was just taking the kids out and completely stumbled upon a range. I was going down a gravel road when I started to see signs saying not to enter due to range area. Then about half a mile later I reached the actual range complex and saw folks shooting mostly pistols at the time. Not sure abut rifle range distances. They also had archery targets next to the range as well. Didn't look into prices since there is a much larger gun range at Knob Creek and a convenient one on base.

Have any of you guys on post been to see the cemeteries that they open Fort Knox for on memorial day. A friend of mine told me about the event and it sounded pretty cool. He said some of the roads/trails to get to them are pretty gnarly.
