And yet another selling point of the LCE header! It's going to be tough for me to pull the trigger on the locker or header, when that time comes. Guess I'll get both.

    A Craigslist scam story

So, about three weeks ago I put my old bed cover on Craigslist to sell. After a day or two, I got a message from someone who was interested. After a little negotiation, we agreed on a price and all the details. That’s when things went sideways. The guy emailed me a few times and the names on the email were different. Odd, but not a big deal. One email I got made me realize I was being played. He told me that he would send me a cashiers check and would pay to have it shipped. Ok, a little odd but it seemed legit. After talking on the phone, I give my address, I know stupid, but I receive a check a week later for $1900. Red flags considering I sold the cover for $450. He then proceeded to tell me that he had other shipments in the area and wanted me to use that extra money to pay the shipper. He said it was up to me to pay the shipper out of that check without telling me who the shipper was. I told him the deal was off, the check was given to my local police and a fraud report was done with Craigslist. Haven’t heard a peep since.

I didn't realize people are still scamming with cashier's check. Since people typically only purchase cashier's checks for major purchases which guaranteed payment is required, I can see how they can get it past someone.

Anyone know a local (to lexington/georgetown) place that can make bends to 1"-1.75" tubes for a reasonable price?
Also interested in having some plate steel cnc cut.

I want to make a bed rack, rear swing-out, and a roof rack.
and I'm having serious thoughts about making my own LT for the front end. Key point would be switching to the 2nd gen+ wheel bearing/hub unit, since those make life so much better than the 1st gen setup.

I have reached out to Bent Fab... but looking for other options so I can get competitive quotes.

Thats great info, I haven't been able to find any info about 1st->2nd gen conversions...

Both of those seem to have "websites" tho lol
Do you have any contact info?
Or even some threads of their stuff?

I should have never let it get it as far as it did. All the emails back and forth came from 2 different email accounts. The bank the check came from was a legit bank but had three different addresses. Lesson learned. I thought I was smarter than that.

You were plenty smart, you were smart enough to sniff out a scam and stop it in time. Some aren't.
