Me and a couple others from Cincy went to the Fall SFWDA ride last year, we were about 10ish so strong for Toyota vs 100+ Jeeps. Predominantly, the clubs/groups that wheel the Slade/DBBB area are Jeepers, but they also actually try to make a difference in the region related to wheeling. So, I can let it go that they don't know better :)

90*+ most people dont want to camp and wheel.

Also several of us have each other's cell numbers and make plans via group messages or group PMs :notsure:

Lot of jeeps, but a lot of EVERYTHING. Last year our group was 14 various Toyota's.

For serious, it needs to cool the hell off. At least nights have been coming down a bit. Wheeling at Rush was pretty tolerable

Ill post here too, my brother is driving his 2018 TRD OR from Sacramento to South Carolina in a couple weeks. He will be in the Midwest and is wanting to wheel the 27th/28th. He’s got suspension sorted but still stock tires. I figure if it stays dry he will be good.

Looking to see if anyone wants to go explore in the area, preferably east-ish KY

We might just go explore RRG/DBBB/KAT and whatever we fancy along the way. If anyone wants to join, you’re welcome and let me know

Last year, we had 14 Toyatas with 2 locals in XJ jeeps as our guides. Super enjoyable ride. Saw things that aren't on a map.

The guides are locals on the fire dept. They take us on some private land with owner permission.

    Plus...It's for a great cause.

Once I get my manual swap done I have to address the frame rot that I found last year. Need to figure out a good welder and cut the cancer out.

I still have to order a few misc things and some redline fluids to finish my swap. Ran into a little trouble with a pesky roll pin in the t case while trying to install my twin stick.....so there’s that!

You dudes got any recommendations for sleeping bags for KY climates? I’ve got a down blanket for warmer camping but need something for cool-cold temps.

Do you have a good sleeping pad?

A good (high R value) sleeping pad and a down quilt seem to be pretty trendy nowadays.

Hammock Gear's Economy Burrow line is quality and economical.

I have a sleeping pad, not sure if I’d call it good quality. I tend to get pretty cold sleeping (even at home) and need decent insulation.

    I know, “eat a sandwich...”
