It's the one on 680, regular Floyd, Floyd Central, all the same for this dude from Ashland lol. Not a fan that my future stepson wants to go to Johnson County, given that Blazer always got shit on by em

I wanted to be when one went through my car in Gatlinburg last month lol

I doubt you'll find many bear hunters in central KY. They're all out in the hills of eastern KY. I feel it's kinda an overlooked season for most but slowly growing in popularity.

Well Johnson central is a great school and they have an awesome football coach if that’s his thing. As far as the education he will get there it can be a good one if he wants it. The teachers there are dedicated. There is a clunker or two but for the most part it is good. I feel they are better than Floyd central. My kids attend Prestonsburg high. Primarily due to the early college program. It allows Jr’s to forgo their Jr and Sr high school years and go to the local college and graduate with a associates degree. Sweet deal if the kid will work at their studies.

It’s tough to hunt bear due to the season bag limits. If a set number are taken on opening day the season is closed. I never got into it much and found it to be a lesson in futility. I have been talking to some friends in WV about bow hunting bear and it sounds promising there.

Yeah I have my suspicion that a lot are taken over bait. We do have a good bear population and I don’t think DNR really knows how many we have. It’s amazing how such a large animal can move so quietly through the woods.

I don't think we can bait for deer either, legally. At least I don't.

Like Bob, I've heard the bear hunting is much more promising over in WV.

Eh, we'd consider Maysville to Corbin eastern, maybe. From that "line" over to Louisville and south would be central. The rest is the west.
Pretty diverse change in geography through the entire state, too.

I've always considered I-75 corridor east to be eastern KY. Between the interstates (65 & 75) central, west of I-65 to be western KY. :notsure:

We allow @dirty deeds to hang out with us sometimes
