Thanks @MedlinAround ! I'm originally from Frankfort and have moved to Corbin because my wife and her family are from here. I do enjoy Corbin, lots of places to ride very close by.

Corbin! Original home of Kentucky Fried Chicken! I'll be passing through there in late October, on the way to Black Mountain. (Oct 21/22/23) You're entirely welcome to go along if you're interested!

I'd love to go@beertimecontiuum but I don't if my truck would ready for what you'd be doing there.
It's still stock, no armor or anything on it.
Let me know what you think.

We meet a few times a year, @Bluegrass Taco has a couple scheduled right now. Most times stock will be fine but expect scratches lol. Next one I will attend will be the 5th annual LBL meet in March, have a pregnant wife keeping me busy.
The third gens are definitely growing on me, and LOVE the quicksand!

Where is this Black Mountain place at?
If I can't go in on tower I'd definitely be able to make the next one.

Harlan KY, SE for most. Very popular spot, I've still haven't made it out there myself.

Last October, we took 3 trucks, 2 almost completely stock, and my slightly raised but very near stock, and went for a 9 hour drive through Black Mountain Off Road Adventure Area. It's well marked with 4 levels of trails. We stayed on the green (beginner) and blue (moderate) trails and had a flippin' blast! These trails run parallel with many of the tougher trails, where we were able to watch quite a few VERY radically modified vehicles. I'm the "old guy" in the bunch. My days of trying the really tough stuff are sort of in the rear view mirror. I've killed my share of trucks and just don't quite get into the extreme stuff any more. Long story short, follow me and you won't be taking on anything your truck can't handle. The trails at Black Mountain are generally widened out enough so that paint and sheet metal don't take too much abuse.

OK....THIS October, the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, I'm organizing another fall run @ Black Mountain. We'll start at the Putney trail head (north side of the park) and go all the way through to Evarts (southern trail head) then turn around and go back. That will be on Saturday, the 22nd. Camping is available, as well as rental cabins.

We're also organizing a Veterans Day weekend run through Dirt Devil, west of Nashville. This is a one day run through a VERY mild trail system. We are reaching the reasonable limit of vehicles on that one.

I'm just now starting to plan a trip for next spring or summer to Prentice Cooper WMA in Tennessee. From all indications, this will be a very gentle run (easy for stock trucks)

You would be amazed at how capable a stock truck can be.

Count me in, I'd love to see what my truck can do.
Honestly I've tries to get it stuck in the mud (which I know it can get stuck), but not found anytbing yet lol
Had it sunk up to the frame and it just crawled right out. It still amazes me what they can do and mine is completely stock.

When we were @ Black Mountain last fall, mud was scarce. It was drier'n talcum powder on a saltine cracker! Maybe if we're lucky.....!

As we get closer to October, I'll be posting more details on this forum.
