Today was a success. Pulled a piece of broken-free foam out of my vent and did the "Raptor Lights" mod. image.jpgimage.jpg

Tennessee, West of Franklin. Should be a very low keyed drive suitable for stock or mildly modified vehicles.

Update on the pinkapalooza cancer event: my scout troop got kicked off of the parking crew, long story short the head of the committee is a bitch and for whatever didn't like how we did it last year. The event is still going on, I think registration starts around like 7:30 8:00 ish. Tbh I really don't care anymore. Still a great cause but I won't be supporting because of how poorly they treat their volunteers. Now I'm pretty sure we're going out to my scoutmasters farm for the weekend to blow off some steam. Which is much needed.

Yeah it kinda sucks. But like I said we were volunteers so we weren't getting paid. So it's really not that big of a loss for us. A few weeks later we are helping a local festival with parking and set up. We are going to get paid a little over 1,000 for that and it's easy work. So that will be worth it and we will not get kicked off that because literally no one else wants to help them lol.

That's the same weekend TN is headed back to AOP. Decisions, decisions.

seems to be a LOT going on that weekend. So far, Black Mountain group is small, but a very diverse group. Got a Range Rover, a 1st Gen Yota with a new lift and tires, a couple FJ's, and me signed up for certain. Maybe a couple Jeeps....

Just asked a local guy with an 86' turbo'd 4Runner about going. He seems interested so we might be in. I want to check out BM pretty bad, love that area.

Anyone around Louisville know of any nice trails/dirt roads in the area? Not looking necessarily an off road spot but something off the beaten path just for a quick trip or one of those "ohh look, where does that go?" trips. New to TW and the off road scene so not too familiar with the muddier side of Louisville

Thanks! Yeah I figured there wouldn't be anything in town but when I was younger (and dumber) I used to live in Paducah and i would take a 98 Nissan Altima down to LBL and Paducah behind USEC just to go explore the dirt trails. Figured I actually have something designed to do just that now, might as well enjoy it

Not much of anything legal.....There's a few LG&E power line access trails around southern part of the county, but you don't want to get caught on them. Through the 70's and 80's, there were a number of really great trails just across the river around New Albany and Borden, but they were abused and got shut down. Nothing but illegal trails or private land now days.

I have a couple miles of dirt roads on a private farm where I can go play under the strict rule I cannot take any other vehicles when I go. There are some dirt roads down around Mammoth Cave area....Best I can do for ya....

I appreciate the info. Figured it would be hard pressed to find something like that around here but always worth asking. Guess i will be making side trips to LBL when i go to Paducah
