Serious? They have a corporate office in Ashland, KY? Aside from the refinery (Marathon), I have no clue where that could be. Small world n such

Yeah that is where the very first VIOC store opened. I don't know where it is either I just know it's in Ashland. Definatly a small world.

Yes it does. One of my favorite bands, especially for their first couple albums. Always liked the name Coheed too.

Valvoline was originally part of ASHLAND OIL COMPANY....Which was bought by Marathon years ago. Ashland had a big maintenance facility in Louisville. My dad was a general contractor. In 1979, he got the contract to convert the Ashland building into classrooms for University of Louisville. Ashland just walked out and left the building full of stuff. I had hundreds of Ashland and Valvoline aluminum signs....Most of the were 4'+ wide. I sold 'em all for scrap. Now they sell for hundreds of dollars. 1979 scrap prices being what they were, I barely got that much for an entire truck load of signs....

Well. My morning was very interesting... Walking in to school and a friend of mine, Josie, got hit by a Nissan Titan going ~25 MPH through the parking lot. She said it felt like her feet were broke and I would be surprised if she didn't break a couple of ribs. Keep her in your prayers please

It's sickening how much they sell for now!
My mom worked at the refinery in Cattletsburg for about 30 years or so. We had all kinds of Ashland Oil stuff too. No signs, but I remember a hard hat, belt buckles(I have one), pens and pins, patches, stickers, jackets and shirts, other small stuff she got over the years.

That is unfortunate. Hope the rest of the day is uneventful and that she has a speedy recovery.

I spent 40+ years living north of Charlestown, not far from Henryville! Used to spend a LOT of my time at the Forestry in Henryville!

I'm not originally from Kentucky... calling someone a Hoosier is about the worse thing you can call someone.
