In no way at all. I look at that as huge learning experience. Just poking fun in good spirits. Sorry if it was too soon to rip you on the fire. Not much you coulda done to prevent your situation under the circumstances. On the the other hand, I coulda not been an ignorant Yankee from the the foothills of the appalachians who thought his silly little truck could handle January in the Rockies.

I’m curious what’s the lesson you learned and what you’d do different? Carry two fire extinguishers at all times?

I read through your posts and thought you were prepared for pretty much everything, you just had a bad string of luck with Murphy’s law.

I was used to having a ton of stuff in the truck and didn't due to using it for work when shit hit the fan...leaving me with a hiking pole for digging. But just a combination of stuff going wrong, any one thing could've changed the outcome. Should've had gear in the truck, should've turned around at the top of the pass even though snow didn't look any worse (easy to ram snow going uphill and just back down... Doesn't work the same driving downhill), especially hitting a section that has a deep section hidden, should've noticed the seat heaters were on, should've purchased better ones to begin with, etc. I've put myself in a bunch of risky situations, and it finally caught up with me then. I try to take it a little easier now.

Now one side of the decked drawers has what recovery gear i have left and it stays in there, doesn't get taken out. Typically have full camping stuff as well.

And i still don't like electrical... All aftermarket was behind a breaker, and then everything was fused. So I'm still not sure if it was temperature, pinched wire or heater line things or it got wet... Newer heaters seem to be like oem and cycle the heat instead of being on full time so there was an issue with that design.

Were you parked at the large open mine after you pass that house with another white taco and a wrangler?

Are those just spare steelies? Trying to find something like this, then powdercoat them to match my Quicksand Tacoma.

I believe that's what @crolison used, but most likely just painted with Testors model paint and model brushes.

White wheels look good until you start using them, then it's a constant battle to keep them clean from brake dust. I'm going with a gray color when I get around to painting them something other than black.

    They are just stock spares.

I used model glue first as a primer
