I prefer PB, but more people know WD-40.. I have 190k so im expecting a PIA with mine also. Hopefully it wont be so bad cuz my engine is pretty spotless... We'll see.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Funny; with the DT header installed I can shift to 5th gear at 22 mph and the truck just eats it up! 22 mph to 90 mph in one gear. Couldn't do that before the header! Anyone that thinks there is going to be a change in the "sound" of the exhaust may be disappointed; no real change in sound but it's in the powerband early and for a longer period of time! I'm very glad to have the header on my truck. Again, thanks Mr. Gadget! :)

Just got mine installed on my 2.7l:

It wasn't too bad of an install, took a few hours, everything bolted right up pretty easily. If anyone with a 4 banger is worried about the install don't be.. if I can do this anyone can. It definitely made a noticeable power gain, there is slightly more low end but it is much better above 2500 revs!:yay: Definitely glad I got in on this group buy!:burnrubber:

That code has nothing to do with the installation of the sim.

It is a failed heater in the driver's side front O2 sensor.

This happens about 1 out of 10 installs. The heater elements in the sensors are brittle and can be damaged when swapped over.

Here is what you need to fix it:

It is high temp rtv sealant, which is on the required supply list, but the directions do not say to use it.. so I just went ahead and used on the air injection pump because it seemed like a good idea. I didn't use it by the head gasket though because the gasket was in good shape. I'm not sure if it is necessary, I just figured it couldn't hurt. I did not really need everything on the list, I really only needed a socket set, some deep sockets and a 12mm wrench. I did need to use some CRC freeze off spray to get some of the bolts off the stock manifold.

Not sure I can write a DIY, but I can mention a few things I noticed. Like I said above, the supply list calls for rtv sealant but the directions never mention it, so I used it around the air injection connections, but not on the header itself. And the directions are not real clear when it comes to connecting the air injection to the new header. The stock header has two welded on bolts that the air injection piece bolts to, but the DT header does not have these. The DT header has threaded holes, so I used two bolts from the stock heat shield to bolt on the air injection- sorry this is hard to describe, you'll see what I mean when you get there though. Hope this helps, and if anyone knows more than me feel free to correct me, other than the URD short throw this is my first mechanical mod, seems to be working fine though! ;)

Ha, I have seen this debated many times... they do exist, they are just hard to find. Took me over 2 months of searching and a 3 hour drive to get mine.

No, mine bolted right up very easily.

I just drove 70 miles back to school today and loved the header on the highway.. much better than stock. Keeps up in traffic on the highway without struggling like it used to, and I got about 1.5mpg better than I usually get on that trip.
