Depends if you are getting shorties than its hard due to welding. Lt are just bolt on I think. However the space u have to bolt them on is super tight so I cut my hands pretty good. I have shortys on now but am ordering long ts.

It should help your engine to move the air better (less restriction). If you have an aftermarket exhaust, the headers are the next thing choking the system, slowing you down.

On my G35 coupe I had a S/C, headers and exhaust and that thing hauled arse. Headers made the sound 'better' and allowed the car to breathe better. I'd assume the same would be true for the Tacoma. You may want to have it retuned after messing with the breathing mods...

honestly it depends on your dealer, I have the gen1 DTLTS now and they have not said anything about them other than great sound. I also have the nst water pump pulley on and my waterpump went(not cause of the pulley) and they replaced the pump no questions. I know some have had issues with mods as some dealers will use it as a scapegoat to not give warranty....

I have a 4 cyl so it looks like there is a decent amount of room.

Will I have to weld? Sorry I have to claim ignorance on this I've only installed headers on a turbo MR2 before and they bolted on pretty easily no welding

Yea, that's what I'm trying to figure out, If my dealer will take issues with it. Last time I asked I got a "We'll probably void your powertrain warrantee"
