Most aftermarket lights aren't going to be DOT legal...

Mine certainly aren't but I have the lower power 2100 lumen squadron sport and I made sure to aim it so I'm not blinding people and I haven't had a problem yet. The 4200 lumen Squadron Pro is so bright I wouldn't recommend it for use on the street unless no one else is facing you. I use it as a high-beam; both on the trails is pretty awesome at night.

So true but I have purchased DOT legal aftermarket lights more than once. When the man pulls you over or a ranger starts asking questions it's easier to defend yourself if you are as close as possible to legal.

Squadron Pro pulls 40Watts and is not DOT approved. DOT approved lights often severely reduce the output and usability of the light.
Lots of customers run the skene dimmer setup with no issues.

Get the HDB Rallye Kit so you can run one Squad Sport and one Squad Pro light. It's really the best of both worlds.

Just can't justify it. Almost never ride at night. Had to order a new front brake hose because the protective liner wore through. Already had a front master cylinder rebuild kit sitting in the spare parts bin so gonna do that while I have it apart. I rebuilt the front caliper recently. The front brake has always been a bit soft so just maybe it will firm up with all the new parts. The steering damper needs an oil change too.

I finally figured out my blinker problem. After a few tests I realized that my flasher box was shot. A quick trip to auto zone and $4 later, I had working blinkers again.

I was hauling my '09 KLR650 around in my old pu, decided I didn't need to leave it where I work out of town, so brought it back home, selling the pu to a local and not having to ride my bike back home over 100 miles away. I unloaded it at night, lost my balance pulling it out of the back of my pu, fell over, had a heck of a time then dragging it out of the back of the pu. Managed to get it unrighted and wheeled into the garage. :( Cracked the plastic on one side, chip fell off the side. I'm sure that will be a few hundred dollars. Dang it!
Pic from last Fall at Ross Camp, close to Plumas Eureka State Park up here on the Plumas NF, CA, just outside Johnsville. Second pic from a year ago, camping on the Lassen NF a little north of Chester, CA, off of 36, close to Lassen Volcanic NP. I couldn't go up the road as far as I would have liked due to snow in the road still. I think that was March, anxious to get out on the bike and camp.

I'm glad spring has sprung. It was a long winter.

Would look awesome with a green transformers decal above the light bar imo.

Decided to hop on the bike today, ended up going for an 80 mile ride. This weather is way to nice.
