Being 6'6" it fits me very well, its been a great problem free machine, perfect for weekend rides and what not. Went to Corbin (in Hollister) and had a seat made, OMG those seats are heaven on long rides. A few weeks a go rode the GS down the Baja to Mulege it was a great trip although cruising 80 MPH a 1200GS have been nice.

That's not a tractor, this here's a tractor (in my best Aussie accent)
    '93 DR350S.jpg

That's the old one, but the 'new' '99 looks pretty much identical. I just found it comical that you guys were calling your newer bikes tractors
You've got something funky going on there... It's a fixed drive, if you didn't change your sprockets or tire size, you should not see a variation in RPM vs speed. If your clutch was slipping, you should notice it in a lot more areas other than cruising speed, such as hard acceleration you should feel it break loose. Are you confident that your tachometer is accurate, same with the speedometer?

its in the shop getting a new clutch. I ran a gps to verify the speed against the tach and its dead on. 9500miles on the bike with hard use the shop said its 99% the clutch, hopefully its right. The bike felt a lot slower in the past week like the engine is not getting power to the ground

That last part makes it sounds like either a bad clutch or one that's way out of adjustment. That's good anyways, those are really easy to replace (at least they are on the bikes I've owned, not sure about KTM). The clutch replacement on the DR took all of about 30 minutes.

Anything outside the engine I am pretty good with but once the insides need help other than the plug or oil filter it goes to the shop

Grand Re-Opening of this old covered bridge over French Creek. Some clown with a truck too big drove through it last year and destroyed the old wooden roof trusses.

I bet a better seat would help too. I did a quick 77 in the afternoon and my butt was tired with the seat concepts seat but I ride right on the very front

What tires are you fine gentlemen running? Looking for a good on/offroad tire. Been looking at the shinkko 244's. Anyone running these?

ive ran them a little. cant say they did any better than a regular street tire imo.
