Dug my XR600 out after 2 years of hibernation. Threw some new parts on it, and it runs surprisingly well. Needs an oil change, then she's ready to ride. Pretty stoked about that.

Like everything else, only if you get caught. 30 years ago there were tons of places to ride or wheel in central DFW. now, nada.
We left a year ago, the only place i knew of then was
    32.587418, -97.330037

Or drive to Bridgeport or one of the other OHV areas. Maybe try do the loops at Village Creek motocross.

That's funny. A buddy of mine lives down there, and we're supposed to ride there this Saturday. Weather permitting.

I’m not familiar with the area, but maybe engage some people about riding? Involve AMA, representatives, be proactive and try to open some areas up to riding. Pennsylvania is working on allowing motorcycles in previously prohibited areas.

Texas is almost entirely private land, something like 95%. There are riding areas, but they're few and far between. I realize now how spoiled I was, living in Southern CA for 30 years.

yup. A year ago I left Arlington, now in San Diego.
I liked being stationed in Oxnard, living here is good too, not far from some great paved or dirt roads

9DF330E7-BC93-4AFC-830B-358ED20B50CD.jpg Yo guys, a few weeks ago i picked up this 2003 kdx 220, it wasn’t in the greatest shape but it ran GOOD and for what i got it for it was like buying candy. Long story short i was too mean to it and seized the engine up, so now the bike is my candidate for a 4-strokey swap and trike conversion. That being said anything engine wise off the bike is for sale, if anyone is interested in something we can work out shipping as well. I know some of the pieces of the engine are worth some money, but i’m also not trying to get rich from selling blown up dirt bike parts lol

    2017 Husqvarna 701 Enduro and 2005 KTM 250Exc.

The 701 is the forever bike. I had a 2009 KTM 690R that I regretted selling immediately...as it was being ridden away. Picked up the 701 and it's just so good. I've done the TAT and OBDR as well as a bunch of singletrack riding and weekend dirt trips on it. Planning to ride a loop down through Nevada and back up through California in July if the country is open by then.

If anyone in the Midwest is selling a used XT250 let me know! I’m going to teach some family members (wife and little brother) to ride so they can get their license and then keep it as a commuter/fun weekend putt-around. I miss my little XT225 from my teenage years.

The wife is also in the market for a used Grom (she buys her own vehicles, gotta love her :D ).

I’m trading everything around as I’m used to touring solo but now that the wife is interested we’ll be two-up until she’s confident enough to get her own bigger bike. Thanks, all! ✌
