i was just doing rough simple math and to get stock power

    3.73/31 = ?/35
even for 35's 4.20's are plenty,

now this is based on simple math
I know practical world 4.88 seem to be right, but i went with 4.56's for 33's in the future of going to 35's, but ill also be supercharged at that time, so i wont notice my loss of power

im just hoping for MPG gain, i do notice these trucks love anything below 2000 RPM, anything above on the highway and the truck begins ti drop MPG drastically, but thats with my 33's and heavy front end

and by simple math i think my highway crusing RPMS are probably going to drop 400ish but well see

that seems like a great plan to me!

My stock is 3.909 and only running 33" tires i have been doing research for months and alot of people say for 33" go with 4.56 and 35"go with 4.88. Some say that with 33" and 4.56 you can barely feel anything.

So i'm going the 4.88 route and hopfully its gonna be a good choice.

its really personal preferance and what you use your truck for. i want 5.29s now lol, the power is awesome. but i use my truck for the desert.

i think the people that say they dont feel anything are just expecting more thats all

even if you sub your factory gearing in in place it still only suggests 4.16.... but thats also pending you had 31's from factory

and like 97 said i think its more a personal preference, i think theres a lot of misleading information out there, that people just assume 33's 4.56

you just cant beat math thats been proven over and over

now i understand though why everyone goes higher, i agree low end torque is nice, but i also use my truck for work

    your exactly right.
if your really conserned about your mpg, 33s and 4.56 are the way to go, if you dgaf, or plan on going bigger in tire size go 4.88s.

Is this still going? I read through a bit of it and it sound like it was but I just wanted to make sure! I'll call and order an ARB locker and 4.88's tomorrow if it's still on. Also is anyone getting these installed here in AZ? I've been planning on ordering from ECGS for ahwile and just doing the third member swap myself and i've just been waiting for the money but if the price is right I'll jump on this for sure! looks like a good enough deal on the locker at least its like impossible to find those ARB's at any kind of a discount!

When I talked to him on Monday he said it would probably be a week before his order even shipped that's why I was able to get my order in last minute. I'm assuming he ment the order that he was placing through his supplier though.
