One month to go. Are your trucks ready? I know mine isn't. But progress is being made.

Depends on how much time you have off from work or whatever.

I'm heading out on Thursday. You can catch all the shenanigans the night before the main race, and all the fuckery after the race when they open up all the hills.

Typically, the place empties out pretty good on Saturday morning. Try and get out there before it gets too late on Friday and there's will still be a lot to see and party all night.

On Saturday a lot of the popular spots will be emptier if you wanna hit them up for yourself.

Luckily for me, my 8 hours are up at 1:30pm, so I only have to take Friday off, and I still get to leave at a decent hour on Thursday.

Is there a list of whose going? Where people are coming from? Meet up places on the way? Cell reception is garbage there so plans for a TW compound should probably be discussed before then, yes? I'm gone thurs-sat. I lived off the 10 in Yucaiapa/Calimesa which most people will be passing en route.

@Jimmynolife, any chance you can update the OP to get a roll call of everybody who plans on attending?

    Something along the lines of:

    1. @Ackrite- Thursday afternoon.

    2. @Mike likes Tacos- Thursday evening.

Something to possibly set up meeting times and points to caravan out there and get a good sized group going.

You plan on going the back way up the 62 to the 247?

I'll be going up the Cajon Pass to Bear Valley to the 18.

62 to 247 would be convienent. Although offroading in snow from big bear to the 247 via grapevine sounds fun but I think that trail might be closed already. In fact, I'm sure it is.
I could meet up with you at a preset location before dipping in at the entrance.

I'm sure that'll work out, especially if they have the same style entrance as last year by that little bridge.

But it would be nice to roll in there with some kind of organization of groups meeting while still in civilization, and avoid the clusterfuck of one or two people rolling in at a time while everybody back at camp is getting hammered. Don't ask me how I know.

Edit. I'm off Thursday so whatever works best.

Hopefully OP can get the roll call going, but there's still plenty of time to get things figured out.
