    Geez.

Didn't know that about the AWD models.

My main concern was the rear sump oil pan.

Under hard acceleration the oil moves to the back of the pan, and due to the short oil pick up tube the bottom end gets starved of oil.

Picked up the Vibe tandem (Skipjack 120T) for the wife and I a few weeks ago. Great kayak and the price was unbeatable. $699 shipped to my door with 2 seats and 2 paddles. We have taken it out 3-4 times now and it's been a great buy. I'd definitely recommend them. I see quite a few of the fishing models down here in south Louisiana and they look like great boats

Looks good! Yea can't beat that price. How is the stability of it? As you know i'm considering the Vibe Sea Ghost 130.

This is our first kayak and it seems pretty stable to me; neither of us have fallen out or flipped it yet, lol! Seriously though, I can stand up in it while out on the water pretty easily. I'm 5'11" 170 and my wife is 5'2" 110 and it has given us no issue with a Yeti Tundra 45 in the middle.

You can tell from my pic i'm a big guy, 6'1 and 280lbs. I'm athletic just not a great swimmer so i'm glad to hear it's stable. But from my research online the Vibe Sea Ghost can hold 500lbs.

Still happy with your pick of kayaks? I'm considering either a Tarpon or a Ride in the 115 to 135 length range.

Here is mine but we don't have any rivers at all, just creeks that wont even hold up a coke cans. So I built mine for the lakes, for bass fishing, and trolling.......................

I'm very happy. For fishing, I love the Ride115. It's really stable, and works great for that. If, however, all I did was paddle for fun, I'd probably go with the Tarpon, which is a tad bit speedier....though not by much.

There's a little trade off between the two, in that I can stand in my Ride and fish, and you can lean it a good bit before it goes over, where my wife can't stand in her Tarpon...but when we went down some rivers with minor rapids last year, she went through them a lot more smoothly than I did, because her Tarpon is a little more streamlined. I had some trouble steering my wider Ride in fast water than she did.

If I were in the market, I'd buy another Ride for sure...just a newer model. Mine's an '11 and there's been some nice upgrades since then.

Forgive me if this has been posted before,
But if you are looking for a kayak you can store IN your truck bed (heck, in your passenger seat). 26lbs. 12' long

The rudder on my kayak works wonders and definitely helps with the speed. 12 ft Kaku Wahoo

Neat concept. It's annoying that they sell a white product on a white website.

Almost forgot, if it makes any difference, I have an access cab and the Ride115 rides in the 6' bed just fine with the gate down. I bungee the carry handles to the tie down points on each side, and it stays put. No need for the brace that fits in your hitch like some do for longer kayaks.

Cool. Mine is a long box too so I was hoping to work it that way for 12' or shorter kayaks.

Does the rudder help at all with lightning stikes?!?:eek:
