    @Polymerhead

    Did you end up buying the Feel Free. I am considering one. The rudder system seems pretty cool.

    I wasn't the one in the market. I run a Trident 13 SOT from Ocean Kayak, which I love, and have been looking at going to a Jackson Kilroy for a Sit-in option.

    It had been too long since I'd had my cedar strip canoe out, so I took it to the Bog River, Hitchins Pond, and Lows Lake in the Adirondacks yesterday. I'm going to try to repeat this trip in the fall when the leaves are in color. I also saw a 3rd gen with a Prinsu cab-rack at the parking area.

    Hi Geoff,
    Awesome canoe and pics. You found me. I have the 2016 with the Prinsu rack. I noticed your truck as well, backed into the woods on the left side of the road. We took the more adventurous route, or should I say stupid route. We put in at the Horseshoe Lake outlet and floated the Bog river down to the Bog river falls at Tupper Lake.

    Cool, I was curious about the Bog going towards Tupper, since the map shows a few sets of rapids. I'm sure it doesn't help that it's been a dry summer and the water level has to be lower than normal. I wouldn't mind doing a 3-4 day loop of Lows, Lila, Little Tupper, Round, and the Bog.

    Some people bailed on some plans so we headed out to the lake in the cedar canoe. Was great until some drunks in a pontoon boat thought it was funny to keep throwing their wake at us.

    image.jpg

    We turned back and once we got off the water a guy on the beach who saw what happened showed me his valve stem tool and gave me a big grin. Oddly enough I think the pontoon boaters weekend is going to last longer than they expected. Karma is a bitch.
