what up paddling family. Sad day today as my Perception Avatar 16 was stolen in broad daylight at 4:30 pm. I live in LA and was going to guide a couple friends on the LA river, which is dirty yes but beautiful in spots. We unload the boats, leave them there for 5 minutes while we go park, come back and my boat is gone. I was SO F'ng pissed. I searched for 3 hours, called 911, no unit showed up, had a local guy with a drone fly all over looking and zooming in on his iPad to no avail. I am so pissed and bummed right now. Some local fisherman told me there are a lot of homeless and tweakers along the river, which i didn't know about, so i don't know what to do. Kayaking is a huge part of my life and I'm just super down right now. It was a blue/white Perception Avatar 16 from around 2008. took this photo of my paddle on the la river today in my friends boat during my search.

Sorry to hear!! That sucks! I'd be absolutely pissed too!!! My god, you can't leave anything out these days. Can you claim anything on home-owners?
I hope you're able to find it or get some 'relief'. Time to upgrade?LOL

Sucks about your theft, those low life's belong in a dark damp cell.

On a better light, as soon as the temps cool down, I'll be headed to the Buffalo River in AR.
