Picked up a couple of Hornbeck solo canoes today. Can't wait to get them on the water.

Does anyone use the Yakima Outdoorsman System on a 3rd Gen?

I had that on my Tundra.

I don't think the J hooks that go under the rail to secure it fit around the C channel on the bed and I also don't think there's a gap for the end of the J hook to catch on. I still have the Outdoorsman (for sale) because I got a BAMF bed rack.

That is what I was afraid of for the third gen. I had the outdoorsman on my Tundra and now just round bars and towers for the Landcruiser. I will look into the BAMF. Thanks.

Spent a long weekend on the Kickapoo River in Wisconsin a couple weekends ago - 3 day paddle from Ontario, WI to LaFarge, WI. Beautiful river, would highly recommend spending some time on the Kickapoo!

Storms and high water kept us off the river the first night. Car camped at Wildcat Mountain State Park

Overcast/partly cloudy most of the time, water was high and quick!

Are you kidding me! Had the lake all to myself. Tried out a "new" used Mad River Tahoe tandem that I picked up for $250.00 bucks. Money well spent.IMG_3369.jpg

I don't know what's a better deal, that canoe for $250 or the lake to yourself!

Stopped by Cabelas and picked up a few things. I bought the bass worm bucket for $14.99, body glove shoes for $7, and some Yak Grips for $6. Going to rig up the kayak tonight with my new rod holders, etc. and get ready to hopefully go fishing tomorrow if the rain holds off.

I made a video of my kayak storage cart. Built this years ago and posted pics on a few other sites. Many have attempted to copy this but in my biased opinion not as good :)

I hope you like enough to subscribe to the channel. I have more kayak build type of videos that I will be releasing over the next few weeks.

Got out on the lake today. Only time I could make it work was midday so the fishing was not very good. I caught two sticks, a tree, and a small bass that was the size of a shad. It was great to get out though.

Getting into the yak game. I now have 2 kayaks. Within the month ive been going out atleast once a week. Ordered the lifetime tandem olive green sport Fisher from lowes.com "cheapest I found it online" it was $509 out the door but when I picked it up I had to return it and then re purchase it because i accidentally used my company card :p the cashier gave me a discount because it had a small dent and scuffs, but that didnt bother me at all nor did i mention it. Paid $450 out the door. Im happy.

Also bought a pelican strike 100x from Marshalls. Price was $250 but I applied for their credit card and got 10% off. Paid $244 out the door.

The lifetime sport Fisher is super stable and I can comfortably sta d on it but it doesn't track so well.

The pelican strike 100 isn't to stable and definitely won't try standing on it but it tracks better.

I'm just getting into the sport and always wanted one for a long time now.

I'm getting ready to add rod holders and a storage hatch to my pelican strike 100. Sure sucks carrying my rods between my legs and feet.

    Here's some yak porn.

IMG_3391.jpg IMG_3389.jpg My friend and I took my Mad River Freedom solo and Bell Yellowstone solo river fishing today. We each caught about a dozen smallmouth on a 6 mile float. Helluva lot better than work.
