Didn't think about that spot. I am going to have to try that. I know one part of the seat that connects to the bottom of the boat some how broke apart so I will have to remember which on that was.

I have been kicking around the idea of picking up a kayak or canoe as we have some really nice rivers for paddling around here. Just today I was looking more and found a couple really nice outfitters in town. Stopped in one near my work this afternoon and they do several tours with rentals during the week, I am really stoked to go try out a kayak. I'm a total newb though, 39yrs old and haven't been in a canoe since I was a teenager.

It's the hundred + fucking degrees that's keeping me from going about now. All the water I'd be in is probably 90 so no cool refreshing nothing outside around here. Thinking about using mt bike lights on a helment, wearing the chest mount for the gopro cam and going at night......

My old 1st gen with my Liquid Logic on a set of racks I made myself. The rear rack I made removable by pulling a pin and it was quickly out of the way when not transporting the yak. I don't have pics of the new double cab, but I went with a trailer for my Hobie Pro Angler because that thing is a beast.

Thanks, I've been looking on CL but no deals on Kayaks. There is a nice canoe that caught my eye. I guess I just need to try both before making a purchase though. Ideally get myself a kayak as well as a canoe for the both of us.

I know what you mean man. I took my puppy down to swim in the river a few days ago and the water felt like bath water. I have not gone because of the heat and everything. It sucks but not worth killing myself over.
That is a nice setup! How did you like those saddles you had on the rack? I almost bought that setup but ended up with different ones and still didn't like them. Now I just use the foam blocks.

Carl, those are some sick pictures!!! Very nice!

Thule glide and set are the best single boat racks IMO

mine have those square looking clips that clip to the square Thule rack. Not the ones in the pic. I will have to dig them up and see if I can switch them out for those things in the pic.
