I see you're running the AP standard leaf pack. Do you have the regular length King 2.5 rears? 25001-121? have you measured to see if the springs droop farther than the shocks extended length?

many people are not getting the king rears cause they don't think it'll fit w/ the AP pack...but no one is measuring either. The few people who have, each measurement was different so I dunno what to believe anymore :notsure:

I haven't measured, I dont see how they could be a problem. Here is the only good pic I have of the rear flexing.

Real men just buy the rears and hope they work with whatever leaf pack they have. If not, do the American thing and just throw money at the problem until it fixes itself ;)

my kings cranked to about 3-3.5" lift and 700# springs ride too harsh, going to lower them and put all my skids on and see if that fixes the problem!

Haha no. It's what I'm doing lol. I'm buying the shocks before I figure out the leaf pack I want to go with but I figured I should jump on this GB before it ends and just deal with leaf pack shopping later. I think if I just get a 1.5" or so lift from Alcan I should be fine.

Ah ok. I never considered that the kings wouldnt be able to run with the ap's. And so far I have had them flexed out with no problems.

ya it's crazy to think someone would buy leaf packs, install them, measure and then order the appropriate shocks...

the biggest worry to folks w/ the AP leafs is when they fully extend they're longer than the shock is suppose to extend and causes damage to the shock. if you wheel your truck like that and nothing is leaking, blown or otherwise damaged... it's just more evidence in the "it works" bin.

I still don't understand how other folks measurements are theoretically too long for these kings yet real world application it seems fine.

    f438a5a_da31465a80248ee70b4503a46d060d9f298baf64.jpg

next I want to see those ordering the "lifted application" shocks to fit AP standards/expos and see some real world pics
