Marco knows his stuff and has helped me plenty of times!

Issue is AP isn't clear on the measurements so alot of us are guessing? They can't even tell us what length shock to run except for a 9.5-10" shock or just run their fox's........but that doesnt help all of us!

For us rock crawling people, the droop is as important...this way we can have our wheel on the ground with traction, instead of in the air...

I think the error you've pointed out is a pretty big "oops." How did he even decide on those shocks? Did he look at the extended and collapsed lengths before ordering or research any measurements on the AP leafs?

I don't know many people on TW that have another vehicle to get around in while doing that kind of work to figure out which shock to order. In this case for the King GB, a 6 week wait period, I don't think it'd be good to run around with AP standards with stock shocks. So after installing, take it all apart and put stock leafs in...wait for shocks to arrive...do it all again...what a nightmare. I prefer to do some research and have been answering questions to the best of my ability

Absolutely, but just DD like that, no real damage. Once you start to wheel it and the weight of the axle is on the strut, bad things can and will happen. We had another friend break a 5100 because of this:eek: But as the previous person said, AP will not say the collapse and droop measurements of the damn springs:rant: and noone on here ever posted them. I measured and got aroudn 16" and 27.5" But if you don't have any of them then you want to be sure you are making the best purchase at the time. That said, for people wondering what the collapse and droop of AP Expo leafs are, it is 16-27.5 :D

Do you have the ubolt flip? That's adding .5" to my compression and getting me 17"??

around and around we go. everything I'm reading has already been said on page 2

I even posted a pic of someone holding a measuring tape to their all pro expo's...

so what are you guys really trying to tell me? I know Sublime thinks the "lifted application" rear shocks for this King buy will work, but I gotta see it to believe it. sorry guys.

alright! first off the guy i bought mine from said they were the "lifted" ones so thats what i went off of, after measuring, installing, and measuring the numbers were off but thats what makes this make more sense to me . . .

what my closest measurement is collapsed: 16.5" extended: 26", i havent measured the actual springs travel yet but with the flip kit and stock bumps i bumped at 17.5" (about 1" of shaft showing) and fully extend the shocks out no problem. Right now fully flexed im about a 1/4" off from touching the fender on the stuffed side and measure at 13" from very top of tire straight up to the bottom of the fender on the drooped side. So my guess is that these springs will DEF flex out more

Jack one side of the rear up until the tire is off the ground (at least an inch or two), then unbolt the shock just at the bottom. If it continues to travel down, you're limiting your droop! Take a pic for us!

Then with the shock out of the equation, measure mount to mount with the leafs fully extended. Also, please measure the shock mount to mount. While you're at it could you also get a measurement of the otherside from the frame to the bump stop? This will give us a rough idea of what your compressed length is, everyone seems to be a little different!
