tech inspections although tedious and a waste of time it seems, like adam said can uncover unknown issues that should be resolved before hitting the trail...

most the guys on here voicing their opinion know their trucks and maintain their trucks mainly themselves, but not all of those attending are as savvy as some of us and may not know to check certain parts of their truck that may be weak and vulnerable to break on the next hit...

trail leaders have to be comfortable taking on the position of trail leader, which is an important roll..that being said, those who are willing to take on that roll will step up and let it be known that they are ready for that responsibility..it is not a popularity contest, it's who is capable and willing to take that roll...tail gunner is also a crucial roll in taking big groups out as they are always in contact with the leader and are there to help out those in the back of the group where needed.

 

trail group sizes will be limited and a way to make sure everyone runs what they want...the jamboree held this summer in buena vista used multiple departure times for popular trails...this can also be done...

i.e. if we have 20 people wanting to run hells on friday, we can have one group leave at 8 and one leave at 9-930..

as free as we are in our camping situation, once we leave our sanctuary, we have to make sure we play by BLM and Moab's rules....off-roading as a whole community has been under a lot of heat in the recent years and a lot has been done to make a better name for the community..that being said, we have to do everything we can to help out our name in the public's eye, BFE's eye and anyone who sees pictures and videos of the event..
