Get the app for your phone if you don't have it. You can set it to search multiple CL areas. I typically search Maine to CT whenever I'm looking for something. The cap I had was posted at approximately 11:30 on a Saturday morning, I had an email in at 11:32 and was on the phone with the owner by 11:45 with plans to get it that afternoon.

Ha ha...I'd probably ask, too! I just posted it on Craigslist so I'm preparing for the barrage of low-ball offers and people from far away lands that want to buy the truck for an extra $10,000 if I do it through their off-shore bank account!

Aright everyone, I am seeking a little advice here as I know many people on this have much more experience than I.

Amazon's "One Click Buy" got the better of me while I was looking at Hi-Lift Jacks to buy the other day.. the button really does look a lot like the "Add the Cart" button.

Anyways I ended up buying the 60" xtrema yadda yadda Hi-Lift for $107...unbeknownst to me. Long story short, I did not cancel the order in time and now I have this beauty sitting on my porch.

SO here we get to why this on the marketplace, is there anyone out there looking for one of these? It would cost me 20 bucks to ship it back... and so if I sold it to you all I would start asking at $100, plus I could drive it a little bit.

The other part to my question is; how helpful are these things? I know tons and tons of people have these.. but I have also seen horror stories of them slipping out and smashing your door or your jaw. Do you all think it is worth it? I do a good amount of trailing and I will be in Montana for the next 4 years and I plan to tour around Yellowstone and everywhere quite a bit... so part of me is thinking I should keep it and hope it comes in handy.

    Thoughts?

My understanding is a hi-lift doesn't work without armor, but someone who is more experienced with off-roading might be able to chime in some more.

My Mom ordered me a hi-lift years ago since I Had one on my list, and I promptly learned my then-stock truck didn't play well with that style jack.

The only place you can lift a stock truck with a hi lift is the trailer hitch receiver. It's best if you have sliders and metal bumpers as you can lift from those too.

You can get attachments to lift a wheel also you can use it as a come along .It also comes in handy when towing a trailer . We used Eriks a few weeks ago to lift his trailer off a giant stump. I see it as another tool in the tool box . Keep it !

Keep it, more than likely if your going to be bouncing around Montana a set of sliders might come in handy and then your off to the races with this thing. I'm actually going to be using mine to help move my shed this weekend, so its a multipurpose tool like John said ^^^

Keep it. Like john said you can get an attachment to use to lift by your wheels. I've got it and it works nicely. Sliders make it really easy to lift your truck with it.

As far as the safety angle so long as you're careful with it and only use it to lift, not support it's fine. Having one of the larger bases also helps.

Anyone interested in four 6-lug first gen steelies? They are the silver non SR5 rims- not the black spare tire rims. Was going to use them as winter wheels for my old Tacoma but now I'm in a lease on my 2015. Chicopee location.

They're in good shape- I never actually used them and they've been in my garage for about 8 years.

    Let me know.

Well.... The Tacoma is no longer. I traded her in for a 14 Tundra this past weekend. This forum has been great, but wanted to offer my parts that I have:

Short Box Soft Topper Minor wear and tear but ready to use. Grey $300.00

16" Steelies, wrapped in 265/75/16 Duratracs. Less than 10k on the tires. Rotated every oil change $1000.00

Fisher Homesteader Plow 6'8". Brand new Cutting Edge, and new parts. Works great, and will include the mount for 2nd gen tacomas. All wiring, and joystick included. $1000.00

    OEM exhaust- $50.00

    Please email, text ETC.....
