Yes it is. That one looks like it could use some love, but it's a solid, basic, tent. Comparing it to a Yakima and a Tepui in the past, they all look like they could have rolled off the same factory floor, but with features differing according to cost.

Thanks - will have to look when I get out of work at lunch. Facebook no beuno @ work.

    Thanks for the input @BadDNA

Alternative method: instead of 1k on a tent setup...just spend 5k on a Honda Element :D

That RTT i linked is $400, pretty damn cheap. Maybe throw a little seam sealer at it and do to town.

I actually opened it up on my phone, they have it listed for 500. Hot damn. Messaged him.

I don't want to do a trailer right now. If I'm going to tow a trailer anyway, I'd get one with a bathroom. :D If that tent is still available I'm probably going to get it. Said a busted zipper, missing a stake or two, some small things - Might need some minor work but I can live with that.

    :burnrubber:

PS @Sloth that tent is "pending pickup" buyer already responded. Damn, I need to be faster on the uptick when these come up for sale. Problem is people price them at what they paid for them brand new, and the only ones that post them for any bit less, are gone by the time I message them. :(

If I do a trip at the end of October might be cab camping for another week :p

So the thing with my RTT is that its 85" long. For a Short bed, you would probably need a cap or cab height bars to get it to hangover the cab. It hangs over my LB by 8". I would sell my bed rack too, but it doesn't fit 3rd gens. Its a short bed rack though.

Whats even more cool, is that while your buddies are struggling with zippers and window poles, this opens with the push of a button on a fob - in 1 minute!

This guy shows up at Rausch Creek last year; its dark out, maybe 10 pm?

The rig he showed up with was fooling around setting up their rtt. Dave goes, “watch this”. Pushes a button and out comes his tent in less than a min.

Sounds like the other guys were pissed, lol. Also sounds like a stupidly expensive tent.

Mind you, he pulled up right next to my poor mans setup. REI backpacking ground tent. I couldnt have been more jealous of his setup.

Oh, it's one of those :( hard shell nice, but yeah probably more than I'm looking for. I'm looking realistically for a one person setup, maybe 1 + dog, wife wasn't a fan of camping. That said, not sure how my dog would do in a tent. She's good in the cab though. Might keep my eye on the cab camping setup instead.

If I can get the seat in and out relatively easily, I'd love to do this or similar:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ad-and-exploring.407850/page-25#post-15224437

Even easier setup than @fatfurious2, show up and it's done. Water tight, etc etc. This guy's build thread is awesome, he said he's about 6', I'm 5'10 so I think it would be a good fit. My thing though is I need work it so that I can get the seat in and out easy, at least "as easy as" getting a RTT on and off the bed. That way it's still a normal vehicle when needed.

 Now I want it just for that.
