Ball to hand not hand to ball .

I know the same rules apply, i'm just saying she had no business having her hands in front of her body while being in the wall. The "ball to hand" rule states that if the player has no time to react and remove his/her hands away from the ball it is not a call. For example, a player attempts to cross the ball into the box and it hits the defenders hand running along side him. Although these always seemed to be called, it was not the defenders fault that while one runs, one tends to "swing" their hands.
In the case of the defender, if she had enough time to put her hands to her face, there is enough times to remove her hands from the area. Now you can say she was jumping and she used her hands for momentum, but I don't know about you but when I jump my hands aren't in front of my face.
As for when I jump to block a ball, I tend to turn my face to the left and by doing so my torso also turns so my left hand is blocked by my body and muscle memory always tucks my right hand behind my back, if I get hit I get hit.
And with that, I end my argument.

Why in soccer do they not cover their nuts when on the wall, yet act like they stepped on a land mine if an oponent gets within 2ft?
