The Mr. X stuff goes for TONS of money. $50 for Mr. Chow is nothing on the second hand market especially since they don't come up very often. I've seen 1 in the last 6 months other than Chad's.

I've got some super cheap stuff up but nothing "collectible". Just trying to purge a bunch of stuff.

My Mr. Chow is going to stay put though!

Sorry you can't afford the price I am posting it at.

I can't really afford it either.

Didn't want to have to let my collection go, but for unforseen circumstances it is what it is.

It's a fair price for a sought after patch. If you would put it on Facebook at that price you would already be labeling an envelope.
As was said before they do not come up often

Thank you. Not going to get into on FB. Just can't.

I figured the peeps would be on here. Didn't want to cluster up this thread so I put PM only.

    And then....

No worries brother. I was only repeating what was already stated. I think it's good on you to offer it up to such a small group. I don't go to Facebook as much anymore. I thought the drama about pricing on there was getting bad. I try to keep a simple philosophy. If I don't like a price. I can try and privately negotiate a price more tonmy liking or simply move along. No need to moan about it.

I remember being totally floored by how much some patches cost when I first started collecting but you eventually get desensitized to it. Never thought I'd spend more than 20 on a patch but to date the most I've ponied up for a single patch was 100. Depends on how serious you get into it. Some people stick to stuff that's always available, some people develop more expensive tastes for limited release/discontinued designs. Bottom line is if you don't like the price or design, move on.

Very true. 1st patch I bought was less than 10. Most I spent now was around 75.

If y'all think patches are bad for price I have some old cast iron pots and pans from the 1800s that need restored that as they sit one demands over $1000 restored close to 2g, and that's for cookware (no not for sale either). Same with my old bit and braces and planes. Why doe a farrari F40 go for well N of 1mil nowadays?

I’d have to look up the Ferrari question. But dang cookware!? That’s pretty cool actually

I hear you sir. There are alot more expensive hobbies. The reason I was shocked at some of the secondary market prices was because patches are so new. But like with anything. Supply and demand rules

It was a rhetorical question abt. the Ferrari. Yep I get the cast iron at estate sales, flea markets, yard sales etc most of the time for around 20 bucks or less. Same with the wood working stuff.

Thank the "tacticool" market for patches becoming the next big thing in collectables. I look at the limited edition stuff "collectable" as art which in a way it is just a new way of displaying it.
