    Bearfoot I agree with the copying thing.But Livin as a noob to patches,the original patch maker giving you permission to COPY his patch does not mean you should. The patch community ( which is huge outside of TW) is very loyal.
    And that’s just my OPINION.And just like Bearfoot I also have one.

    I'll keep that in mind in the future. But in the design world, everything is eventually a copy of a copy etc... He had a patch that no one made yet, but the concept, the text art, theme, that was all someone else's art as well. Out of professional courtesy I got his permission which was more of a blessing as he too wants me to keep him posted, as well as all the artwork from the ground up was from scratch. I get what your saying, but there's no debate, I received permission, got his blessing and life goes on.

    I'm sure most people that own patches have some kind of super hero/villain/movie etc... on it. I put every dollar they never asked a studio permission. I at least did leg work to get the approval to use a concept.

    I think you are straight on it man. You already made it as transparent as possible that the communication between the concept originator and you happened and while there was an FJ rendition, no tacoma OR a third gen for that matter. Guys want to knock you for your plagiarizing the patch...let them take a stab at drawing a taco in that art style on their own and lets see how that product turns out. Point is, after his blessing you created a product that can actually exist if you choose to convert it into a patch. No one else created that design. Opinions will always be opinions, but hey man no harm no foul if folks just read the communication from the last few pages.
