Can anyone confirm if Mark Martin (OregonGreyBeard) had any involvement with any of the patches pictured below? If so, they're for sale...

 

I think you are safe. Dont see anything that looks like his.

 

Where did you get the home grown patches?

 

Davo Ledbetter on FB. He makes all the jugs. You can pretty much get him to make ya what you want. Doesn’t sell huge runs of stuff generally other than the Trumpman v1/2

 

Why? Do you have a beef with him?

 

Yup. I have zero interest in supporting him.

I heard he handles a lot of the laser cuts, so I was just wanting to make sure that none I already own were made by him.

I think it stems from a drop time he advertised, but then didnt drop them for a considerable time after. People had set time aside to make the drop and there were no patches to be had, which ended up people that wanted them missed them. Correct me if I am wrong?

 

It's a little deeper... The 4pm drop post on TPC had a comment where I tagged him, asking for two to be set aside whenever they drop. Needless to say, an hour and a half later they dropped, and none were set aside. ...then I learn about other mishaps with leaked designs and other questionable character traits; it boils down to the fact that I do not want to help fund those sorts of activities. I may be alone (publicly) on this, but I know others have decided to do the same.

 

Back to the B/S/T....

Rarely, if ever do makers set aside patches for consumers upon request pre-drop. I wouldn't hold that against him at all since no one does that to my knowledge. If the message was at drop when he didn't drop as scheduled, then you have an argument IMO, but that's just me. I did think the reveal on the bearded taco was a little odd since he is riding shotgun on the series, should have been the primary designer's reveal on his terms. Again that is just me.

 

Drop was supposed to be 4pm, but didn't happen until 5:30pm. He owned up to the mistake, but still didn't honor the request for a purchase that was attempted from 3:55 to 4:30. Like I said, I may be alone (publicly) on this, but that along with the other mishaps makes me done with him and his products.

 

I wasn’t going to comment on this whole drop mishap but screw it. I made a post in TPC right after the drop was supposed to happen at 7pm est (my time) tagging Mark in it because I really wanted that patch. A bunch of people commented on it. He ended up dropping the patch 30-40 minutes later (I have an email receipt with a time stamp on it). He made a separate post or two apologizing for the late drop so I deleted my post on my own since I didn’t see the need for it to be up after he dropped the patches and made his own announcement. Not sure if that’s where you tried tagging him but he didn’t prompt me to delete my post and I don’t even know if he saw it. Generally there is no reserving patches that way even with a late drop. I’ve bought countless patches directly through him or through other patch makers who commission him. His work is impeccable, including two custom pieces he did for me last week. Quick turn around and great quality. A LOT of makers use him for laser work so you’ll miss out on some awesome patches if you black ball him for one screw up. Just my two cents.

Sorry everyone, I really didn't mean to derail this thread; I simply wanted to offer the sale/trade of any patches I have that he was involved with. Since it appears I have none, we can go on with the normal B/S/T stuffs...

 

Who's the maker on those King of the Hill patches?

 

Can’t wait for my Cheesus patch to show up.
