It’s the DAD duck. Not sure the history on it. But it’s the first one released with a knife as far as I know. It was dropped before I started collecting.

Hey everybody I have never really been interested in patches until I checked out a few of the topics so I’m now interest in the patch game. First question I have is how the hell do you get them to stay on the headliner? I don’t want to glue them on or pin them on. I see that the first and second gens have a different type of headliners that are more of a carpeted material, mine is a third gen (2019) which is a smoother fabric.
I am a retired Marine after 20 years of service and I could get my hands on some Marine Corps patches if anyone would like to trade with me so I can get my patch game going.

Thank you for your service sir.
If you push down and work it side to side a bit they will stick

    Here's what I'm trying next.

I bought double sided Gorilla tape. I'm going to apply it to the patches first of course but then I'm going to use the wife's hair drier to heat up the spot on the headliner first then heat up the tape. A hair dryer is safer than a metal tipped heat gun around my leather interior. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

Another member had a great idea too for the patches that have the velcro loop side. He said to use sewing pins, the ones with the tiny heads, and use them to attach the loop side, and the the patch would hid the pins. Depending on the size and weight of the patch, some will need two but most will only need one.

I have tried the push and wiggle technique, also tried "roughing" up the headliner by rubbing the hook against it to help them stick. Neither seemed to secure the patches enough that I wasn't worried about them flying out the window.

Others have had success with pinning hoop to the headliner, but I decided my collection was better suited hanging on a wall. I have a few hanging near the map lights and they have been there for a while with no issue.

Good luck, the 3rd gen headliner sucks for patches

Bummer that patch went out of stock in less than a day. I'll be watching for another run.

Unfortunately most patches are one time limited runs and the secondary market can be brutal. Good luck with your searches

ISO of any Police Department patches. Looking mainly for Texas departments, but will entertain others in the south.

They do not need Velcro at all on the back.
