Thinking about Re-branding what do you all think? I want honest opinions please.

I really like the idea! are you wanting us to decide on which one works or is the picture all one Re-brand idea? the layout and design of the wording is perfect and looks good! i like the fact that "HI" looks sort of like a camera!

Not too bad. But my personal opinion is i'm not too big on the colors or font... the HI logo is a good idea though.

I think Sony has a ton of potential especially with sensor technology like the exmor sensor in the D800! A rep from Canon also mentioned that their most feared competitor is Fuji. I could see Fuji jumping up in their DSLR game.

Does anyone have any experience with HTML5 or CSS(3)? I've been working on setting up a website and I need help with a few things. Here's what it looks like so far... www.Frazier-Photo.com.

if it didnt have "LENS BLING" in huge lettering i would be into it. and if it were a black cap with white lettering. The grey is ugly.

On top of that i dont nee lens caps to distinguish my lenses.. ive shot all my gear long enough that i know what is what.

Too flashy IMO. Photography is about the photos, not flashy logos that distract a viewers attention. Simple is the way to go. I learned this many years ago.

So the dude that was gonna trade me his D200 for my D80 actually did it. Really nice guy. I guess he never used the camera....

True, I totally Agree, Its more for me. than anything I wanted to start using my name. and put the logo and number on my Truck.

Thats just the one Idea. and Thanks. Ill post the other one.

The colors were just to check the Logo on dark and light. far as the Font goes thats how me made the HI look like a Camera.

This is mostly for me to make cards and to sticker my truck with my number and stuff.
Also sense my last name is German, figured it needed to look it. haha

If Hostetter Imaging was a company for graphic design, I'd buy it :)

I'm still not sold for being a photographer. If I saw your logo I'd think this guy is into making signs and websites.

i like the other one better.

3 things mainly stand out to me.

1 - Those fonts seem way too edgy for a photography company. If you were a racing company then i would dig it.

2 - I dont like the second HI logo, at all. The first HI logo was a solid idea, maybe work with that one a little more?

3 - The color, this is my strict personal opinion, but i dont like orange. But others may think differently. (Rather i dont like that light shade of orange. Reminds me of construction)

Now with that said. Let me apply that for you.

Font - try to find something a little more pleasing to the eye, as opposed to italic straight letter. I would also try to compress the lettering down. A logo should be short, sweet and effective.

Here is mine for example -
