Question for you guys. I took some long exposure pics tonight and every picture i look at has some pixels that are all screwed up. Same spot in every picture. There is a blue dot in the bottom two corners and a white dot on the bottom in the middle. I just took a test pic with a 2 sec exposure and it is still there but not as pronounced. Are these dead pixels in my sensor?

could be a number of different things. if im not mistaken, a dead pixel shows up as a black dot.

Make sure they are there when you load them onto your computer too.

I only get that when i use a high iso, but its from compression, so i only see it compressed in my camera, but when the full RAW file opens on my computer they disappear.

I only see them on the computer. I was using iso 100. I'm not sure it was either of those.

I think i narrowed it down to my lens, not the body. I initially was shooting with my 50mm and i don't get the dots. It just happens with my 18-135.

It isn't just a pixel, it is a blue dot. I'll post a pic of it when i get home.

Initially that is what i thought it was but as i look closer it isn't just a pixel or 2, it's a blue dot. I'm guessing it is something on the glass that needs cleaned off.

Those are hot pixels, it happens when you do long exp. Some cameras have more some have less, and the more long exp you do, the more you get over time. I do a lot of long exp, and I noticed it a few yrs ago on my T1i, it was so bad I sent it in for service! They told me it was normal. I gave that camera to my wife, and got a 60d after that. Now I only have a few.

ok, so it is a camera issue. It's a 60d so hopefully they don't get much worse. This is the first time i've done many long exposures. They are in the corners and easily cropped out/fixed.

I believe canon has some software it comes with to fix dirty/dead/hot pixels when shot in raw. I never used it, I just ps it out.
