Demonstrating the lack of depth of field on my new lens :D A little contrast and sharpen on this photo, otherwise, untouched.

Guess my Exif reader was right, it was the old AI-s 50mm f/2.8... Haha, is it the sigma?

Your EXIF reader is telling you what I programmed inside the camera :p Yes its the sigma. So far I really like this lens. Hard to get used to, takes about 5 turns on the barrel to go from 1:1 to infinity.

Theres really very little information about this lens online... I'm surprised. I'd never heard of it before. Is it highly desired or something? Because I'm really loving it so far.

I've been really toying with the idea of pursuing a PJ/Sports Photographer career once I start building up my lens arsenal. (My goal the is the Nikon Trinity, 300 2.8, 200-400 4, and a few primes)

I was thinking about joining this group

I'd like to believe that as long as you have a fast body, and a reasonable 70-300 you could do sports photography at least under daylight. Nighttime is a whole 'nother story, but I've done a couple daytime gigs with a 135 and no problems.

Borrow Lenses are some really nice people. Never dealt with them myself...but I know Ian knows them and he has never said anything but good things about them.

Soon I'll have a D800 and hopefully by New Years I'll save enough money to buy Nikon's 70-200 VRII
